Default 1st craft show update

I wanted to share the results of my first show of the year, because i have gotten so many great ideas and help from you all on here.
Here are some pics of my set up. Still trying to work out the kinks but its hard when spaces vary from 6 to 8 feet..makes a big diff.

and here are the results:
Table was $40 show 9-3:30 8 ft table
sold:
14- dog treats $1.50@
9- cat treats $1.50
9-beaded pens $1.50
8- mini comp books $1.00
3- teacher jars $4.00
2 candles $5.00
3 xmas fudge $2.00
1- note to school book $3.00
9- gift card holders $2.00
70 M&M sticks all sorts $1.25 or 5 for $5
6 acrylic post it notes $3-$8
10 poops $1.00
5-hoho nugget boxes $3.00
3 wine bottle tags $5.00
1 xmas card set $13.00
7 various cards $3.00
5 kids thank you sets $5.00
All in all not a bad day....I have 4 more this month, so I have to get busy replenishing....
I did not sell 1 single post it note set on a coaster...last year I sold 70,,,,go figure...so now we know what the kids teachers are getting this year! I made 160 of them!!

I have found that the less expensive stuff sells better..and people love the way things are packaged. I know I dont have alot of money to spend on "extras" so I tend to undersell myself..but something is better than nothing I say.
Good luck to everyone I hope you sell lots.
ps. im in buffalo NY where money has always been tight

I would say that was a good day. I agree the less expensive stuff sells well and packaging is definitely important. It's interesting you sold more "stuff" than you did cards. I have also found this to be the case. I tried selling my cards at 3 for $7.50 and did well that way. Even though it's only $2.50 a card I would rather sell more cards. Good luck with your other shows. You are going to be very busy =)

Looks to me like you did a "mighty fine job". Could you please tell me about the "kids thank you sets"? I work with the little people, and this caught my eye. Thanks so much. Deanna

I purchased the stamp sets from Stampin Up. One is a cupcake and the other is a snowman with a pre-printed thank you note, where they fill in the blanks. I include 8 crayons for them to color and a mini pencil so they are ready to go. I think su still has the cupcake in the catalog. I mount them on colored card stock (simple) and pack them in sets of 8 with envelopes for $5.00

Your set-up is beautiful. I love your card racks. So much better than the boxes where it's hard to look through them. Where did you get the racks from?

I'm so glad you had a successful show!

thank you very much. I got the card spinners from craigslist. A store was going out of business...it was 4 very tall spinners on a large platform, so I took it apart and made smaller ones. it is the best place to find things. I even have chip racks that have lots of little clips I could use too

The cupcake one is called Simple Birthday Thanks (item 111546) and is in the current catalog. Sorry the ads are preventing me from going to the more advance reply to send a link. I haven't been able to find the other one so it is likely not a current set---or I am just way too tired to find it.

Default 1st craft show

the other is snowman thanks and was in a mini catalog so it's retired. May still be on the dormant list but doubt it.
1 is selling on ebay now for 6.99+

That's wonderful. It works really well to display your pretty cards. Lots of times I'm hesitant to paw through someone's boxes of cards, but this makes it easy to see what you're offering.
