Dry Jelly roll pens

Hello!
Haven't been able to use my supplies in a while and I have discovered that some of my pens have dried out. It is clear to see that there is still ink in the barrel. Is there any way I can get these pens working again?

This sounds terrible, but it sometimes works for me...I do it with ball point pens that don't want to write also.

I just bang the heck out of it on a piece of scratch paper, point side down. Bang and scribble, bang and scribble. Sometimes it will get it going again. :)

Just a suggestion, don't know if it would work. Run the barrell under hot water and then scribble on a note pad.

This works for me every single time. Take either a match or a lighter (I use a bbq lighter as I don't smoke) and put the ball point into the flame for a second, being very careful NOT to put more than the tip of it into the flame. Only for a second or two, not minute(s) just to warm up the tip, any longer and you will risk melting the plastic bits of the pen rendering it totally useless and bin bound. Let it cool for a second or two and then scribble until the ink flows. If it doesn't write, do it all over again. Very few times have I had to use the flame more than once, but I did manage to melt a couple when I first tried this method. That's why I say "a second or two", lol! This works well on ink pens as well. I had to do this to an entire set of jelly pens as well as the glitter jelly pens that had been in storage for 2+ years and they all work beautifully now. I don't know if it matters or not, but since I got them going again I only store them horizontally. Good luck!

Dotty, thanks for the advice. I'm a pen addict (I also keep a journal and write longhand), and I probably have 50 (or 100?) of gel pens (good brands too, like Gelly Roll!) that won't work anymore.

And I'd be THRILLED if I could get my 10 or so white Signo Gel Pens going again!! :-)

Glad to know I'm not the "only" pen addict, I have enough to color the globe! ;) Let me know how you go, good luck!
