Double Identity
What stamps have you used other than what the image was meant for?
I had this wonderful idea to make a lemon stamp with the scratch and sniff technique - except that I don't own a lemon stamp! It had to be an SU set, and then I realized that one of images in Island Blossoms worked really well! It is the medium sized, 5 curvy petal solid stamp that has a puckery look to it. Stamped in yellow, it looks like the inside of a cut lemon. Stamped in green, it looks like the inside of a cut lime!
Share here! I would love to see all the creative ideas that came from thinking out of the box!!!

In teh old set Seeds of Kindness I used the dandelion as a Pom Pom (like a cheerleader) and the wispy one as a snowflake.

Someone used the purse in Oh My Word upside down - it looked like a happy face with a hat! I think it was here on SCS.

I've seen Fresh Flowers used to make an Easter Bunny in the gallery here.
I've used the ice cream scoops and candles (without the flame top) from Perfect Party to make a bra.

Okay, yall are gonna laugh at me. This is so ghetto. I wanted to do a card with looks like spring, but I wanted it to have a stem. I don't have any of the flower sets that have stems, so I used wonderful words. I used the love stamp, and just inked up the long part. I didn't use the letters, but just the part hanging off of the letters, and then I used the leaves from painted posies. It came out pretty good though.

That is so inventive Emily! And for the record, let's say that for this purpose, 'ghetto' really means 'creative.'

My upline has a card from a while ago that used a vegetable set as a close up of a snowman's face. They used the olives for eyes, and of course the carrot for his nose. He was adorable.

I wish I could find the card, but someone used that half daisy from In Full Bloom as the bottom skirt of a ballerina dress. That is such a popular stamp set that there are thousands of cards in the gallery using those stamps, so if anyone can remember it maybe they can post it.
This is a great thread! I also hope to see other ideas!

After looking at the flower, I think it's a cone flower, not a daisy. But the petals made a cute tu-tu!

I don't have one in my gallery but I have made a wedding dress out of the birdhouse and flower from the simply spring set. Here is a link to one in the gallery http:////www.splitcoaststampers.com/...=64271&cat=535
