Double Happiness Stamp
 

I'm helping my brother and his bride to be with their wedding invites and she wants the Chinese double happiness symbol on them. Have any of you used such a stamp and if so, do you know where I could buy one. I've done a search on line and found some but they are slightly different than the image she gave me and I have never heard of these companies before. Any help I can get on it would be greatly appreciated! Thanks.

Perhaps you could do a search on Ebay. When I typed in "Chinese rubber stamps" I got several stamp and stamp sets, all in Chinese.

I happened to be in a Paper Source yesterday and saw that they had this stamp:
Paper Source Double Happiness

This is what the character should look like -- you may have seen it in a different font or maybe upside down--not exactly sure why, but you may want to google it.

I have a small one made by Mari & Me ----the date on it is 1998 and that company is in Hawaii. Must be a pretty small company -- Good luck

I believe also that there is a paper punch out there of double happiness.

Check out SeeSaw Graphics.. they specialize in chinese stamps. Look under "weddings" and "everyday" for the double happiness character... it's really the happiness character stamped twice in case you choose one that isn't double.. I've ordered stamps from them through my LSS and saved on shipping. Maybe yours can do it for you too.

OMG you all have been so helpful. I did see one on Ebay (thanks again) and the one at Paper Source is smaller and I think Julia wants it small (again thanks). Now I am off to look at the other sites mentioned to see what I can find. A punch would be cool too. Wow, this site is always so helpful. Julia is just thrilled with what I have found so far, she was getting very frustrated because she could not find what she was looking for.
