Question Dotted BG - are the dots different shades?

This is probably a really stupid question but when you stamp with the Dotted background will the dots be in different shades, as shown in the catalog? I have no idea how that would even be possible, but why didn't they show the dots monochromatic in the catalog???

I have no idea whether they will be or not. However, it is possible. The big stamp from Sweet Shapes does create different shades of the color. The rubber is different thicknesses.

I would think so. Remember Sweet & Sassy... It not the same shade throughout the whole solid stamp. So I think they can make it work.

... and, by the way ... NOT a stupid question. The thought popped into my head when I looked at it, too!

Thank you for the answers.....I did another scan of the catalog and found the Dotted background on the following pages; 65, 83, 117, and 182 and it does appear as if the dots are different shades, although not as noticeable as they are where the background stamps are pictured.

I would have liked to see a sample stamped on a neutral color cardstock instead of the tone-on-tone in the catalog samples. Maybe the shading would be more noticeable done that way.
