I've done a no-no. I mixed my SU papers with my non-SU papers; now I can't really tell what is what. I try to compare with the colors in the catty but some of them don't look right. I would like to get them separated now. I saw some color rings at southerngoose.com and they looked AWFULLY reasonable. Has anyone ordered from them? Or if someone would like to sell me one, I'd be open to suggestions. Thanks.
What a frustrating thing! I went on e-bay and ordered file folder tabs that someone made. Each tab has the name and number of the SU color, on that color of cardstock, and you just have to put them in the hanging file folders. They are pre-cut. I LOVE this!! All I had to do was put each one in a tab on a hanging file folder. They weren't very expensive either...around $6.00...and I could organize them any way I wanted to...I just did them by color families. Now when I'm not sure of a color, I can match it up. I thought I might like the rings with all of the colors, but after looking at both, I think I like this better. It's very organized and just in my file cabinet under my table. HTH!!
I got one on ebay last year, it was awesome, need to replace a few colors since the new ones came out, but it was awfully handy especially for some of the reds and pinks. Let us know what you decide!
I don't think i want the file tabs as I have to load up all my supplies when we go to NC in the summer and then back to FL in the winter. I don't mind all the SU colors being together; I just don't want them contaminated :>)
I ordered three different rings from Cobleight Creations and LOVE them. She has the rings, file tabs, and lots more organizational goodies. Amazingly quick service and emails.
I, too, have mixed a few non-SU papers in with my SU papers. But when I consider that I find more variation between different packs of SU papers of the same color than between my non-SU papers and my SU papers, I have quit worrying about it.
I asked about this a while back...see this thread.... Forums at Splitcoaststampers
