Your Plaidmaker should have come with instructions which are located on the back side of the "title page" sheet of paper that comes with the Plaidmaker. Here are the instructions:
1. Place Template A over the card stock to run parallel with the edge of the card stock.
2. If using 12 x 12" card stock, place the corners into the slots to hold the card stock. For 8-1/2 x 11" card stock, place one corner of the card stock into a corner slot. Tape the adjacent edge of the card stock to the Plaidmaker to hold it in place.
3. Use a brayer (foam works best) or stamping sponge to ink the paper with the desired color.
4. Rotate the template 90 degrees and brayer or sponge with the same color. Remove Template A.
5. Place Template B over the card stock. If using 12 x 12" card stock, insert the card stock in the corner slots, and the alignment of the plaid will automatically be positioned.
6. Brayer or sponge over the card stock exactly as done with Template A.
Plaid Tips:
* Try making a subtle plaid by using tone on tone. For example, Forest Foliage ink on Forest Foliage card stock.
* Create multiple-colored plaid by masking every other line on the template and using two colors.
* On colored card stock, try using Stampin' Up!'s Craft ink. The ink will stay opaque!
Hope this helps! I find using a sponge to be time consuming and tough on the arms! It's fine for small jobs, but if you're doing a full sheet of card stock, the foam brayer works best.[/code]
