Colored Safety pins

does anyone know how to make colored Safety pins? I love these, but can not always find a color to match the project I'm working on. Is there something that I can use to color them myself? Like embossing or something?

You can color them with sharpies just as you do staples, brads and eyelets. Just make sure to wait until they're completely dry before using them.

I have embossed the tips lots of times to make cute green, yellow, pink and blue pastel pins. I use a versamarker and "colour" the tip of the safety pin (open it first!) and then dip it in my embossing powder. (incidentally, I hold the pin with tweezers) I heat the top of the pin and as soon as it's melted, I dip it in the powder again and do a second coat. You have to be a little careful with them when they cool down as a couple of times I've chipped them but they work well enough for a card.

TAC sells them! They were in last year's catalog and accidently were left out this year but we can still order them! They come in metallic, brights and pastels...
