Does anyone ever use wallpaper swatches on their cards?

I just worked 3 days doing a wallpaper reset for a company and I kept thinking that those swatches I was throwing out would look great on some cards. I kept quitr a few but just wondered if anyone else had ever tried doing this?

I have....here's a link to two cards. One is in the 5th row on the page and one is in the 6th row. I also made envelopes out of the wallpaper to match them.

I'm wondering what kind of glue or tape to use. I had tried to use wallpaper before and still have a huge stack that I saved. When I tried to tape or glue the wallpaper down it kept lifting up.. Just wouldn't stay put...

any ideas?

thanks.

I've used it to cover mat board post-it covers. I have about 6 wallpaper sample books taking up space, but I just can't toss them for fear someday, I will figure out another way to use them!

Love them. I've used them with my Vase punches, Here's a couple of samples:

I have also used them for backgrounds, to make bags and envelopes. I've even cut out images and used them in collages.

I have used them for cards and bag projects. I went to a local wallpaper store and they were sooooo happy to get rid of old books. I took about 20 and they said to come back anytime for more.

I've used the sample pieces (6"x4" approx.) that you can get at most home improvement stores - I think mine came from Home Depot. I cut them down to fit the top (or bottom) half of the card front and just adhered them to the cardstock with double sided tape - and they're still holding! I stamp on the cardstock half of the front and usually put coordinating ribbon or a piece of crimped cardstock where the pieces meet.

I saw this in a magazine I wish I could remember which one! They were VERY cool.

Wallpaper

I have used wallpaper samples from the books that the stores want to get rid of, and they turn out beautiful. I use them mainly for backgrounds, but anywhere I can figure to use a piece, I will. They work terrific! As for what I use as an adhesive, I use the doublesided tape from Scotch. I have no problems, and they look great!

I used to use these all the time, but finally had to chuck the wallpaper books because the must was getting my asthma going too much.

One thing I did find was when trying to adhere vinyl wallpaper, carpet tape was wonderful. Regular adhesive won't hold it very well, but the carpet tape, found just about anywhere, will hold anything!
