3 Little Love Bugs 08-24-2007 06:51 AM

Perfect! I have been waiting to mount this set because I couldn't decide how to do it. Now, off to sneak some dominoes from my boys....LOL! Thanks for sharing!!!

craftygirl04 08-24-2007 06:51 AM

renaissancegeer 08-24-2007 06:51 AM

Kathy

Jillgunter 08-24-2007 06:55 AM

mrslaird 08-24-2007 07:06 AM

You are SO smart! I must buy dominoes now!

arcopes 08-24-2007 07:08 AM

I cut mine up and put them on Jenga blocks. Flaxychick (I think that's right) posted on her blog about doing this some time ago...and I jumped on the cut it all up bandwagon. :)

stamping_KML 08-24-2007 07:10 AM

Wow! Awesome idea. :) TFS!

okstamper 08-24-2007 07:10 AM

dtstampz 08-24-2007 07:23 AM

Ooops.
Meant to say: Must find some dominoes, and MUST earn hostess set! ;)

Wendybell 08-24-2007 07:26 AM

Oh FINE! NOW you tell me!! (Coming from a girl who already has hers mounted the traditional, boring way!) May have to nuke 'em and start over!!!

DisneyDoll 08-24-2007 07:32 AM

What a FABULOUS idea! I use mine unmounted, and didn't use the foam, just Aleene's Tack it Over and Over on the back. They work GREAT! This really IS a super set because all the sayings fit PERFECTLY in the word window punch! Just used it last night to make a few cards!

That's what I did with my Word by Word background stamp - worked great and I love the domino idea too!!

Clownmom 08-24-2007 08:07 AM

Brilliant!

jutta 08-24-2007 08:56 AM

so many sayings

I was curious about why you would mount them on the bottom of the domino. It seems that you could have easier placement by putting the words opposite the labels. Did the dominos fit in the clear SU box?

I definitely like the domino idea, since this is the only hostedd set I'm interested in. Well, I would like the in the spotlight, but that's out of my reach!

Jutta

Cynamom 08-24-2007 09:00 AM

Ha ha... way too much work for me!

robbrd 08-24-2007 09:01 AM

Brilliant!! TFS the details with us. :)

tmd95 08-24-2007 09:23 AM

AWESOME! Just earned that set and should have it in another day or two. Gotta ask the same question jutta did though....why not mount on the side opposite the name of the stamp?

lbirus 08-24-2007 09:25 AM

Great idea!!! And BTW... there are metal tins of dominoes at Dollar General for $2! (Way cheaper than Target/Wallys)

SweetCarolineSC 08-24-2007 09:35 AM

you could also mount them on jenga blocks like everybody else on the website has talked about doing since the catty came out. hope that helps.

SweetCarolineSC 08-24-2007 09:39 AM

you can find a mini jenga game for kids at the dollar store, and the dollar spot at target which are smaller than regular jenga blocks. they're perfect for a little stamp :)

SweetCarolineSC 08-24-2007 09:40 AM

darn edit button! i hit post too early...the mini jenga set comes with about 50 blocks, so you'll have spare!

RJP111 08-24-2007 09:41 AM

Yep! I luuuuuuve you!

I'm adding dominoes to my grocery list right now! I have that set and haven't mounted it yet.

austamper 08-24-2007 09:41 AM

I love the domino idea! I like them on the sides like that. I don't know if all the jenga blocks would fit in the case!

Might just be me but this came across as a bit rude....

i know...i wasn't trying to be!!! i noticed it after i had posted, but since there is no edit button, i couldn't fix it.

K. Benko 08-24-2007 09:43 AM

Wonderful, wonderful idea. You could also use the dominos for other sets such as Flexible Fancy Phrases. These sets don't need to be mounted on both sides of the block just use dominos. You are brilliant.
Thanks
Kathy

SweetCarolineSC 08-24-2007 09:44 AM

i was going to post a link to the threads with pics of the jenga blocks and show that as an alternate option, but i couldn't find one that wasn't in the non demo forums!

NP - I hadn't seen the jenga thing, and I don't even know what those are.

I mounted them on the backside, since the edge was a little too narrow for the rubber, adn it stuck over the edge. I didn't think it would have enough stability otherwise.

InkStazOnMe 08-24-2007 10:12 AM

Great idea! That's cool!

1sttimemommey 08-24-2007 10:22 AM
