Default Do you protect your acrylic blocks?how do you store them.

I have 5 acrylic blocks but I was wondering if anyone protects there blocks from scratches.how do you store them.do you wrap them up inanything.do you store them in a case.I don't want mine to get full of scratches and nicksby being banged around.Should I buy any kind of a case to protect them.just wondering what everyone else does.

are there any cheap or inexpensive cases to store them in.

Mine are just in a basket on the table. I have some I have used for 5 years and they are only barely scratched in a few places. They would have to get pretty scratched before it would bother me. Additionally they are pretty cheap to replace at places like Inky Antics (online) if it did bother you.

Good questions! I just got some acrylic blocks from CTMH last week and right now they are sitting on my desk because I don't know what to do with them. I look forward to seeing how people keep them.

I buy the clear stackable stamp containers we sell from SU. You know the ones just like our stamps come in. They are also perfect for storing your clear stamps too. I just stack them on top of one another and use my label maker so I know what is in each.

I store my most used ones on the table so I can get to them easily but my less used ones are in CTMH acrylix block holder

My son works for a Yacht Company ( how do you spell that anyway!)and I had him cut me some when I first started unmounting my stamps. G ranted some of them are scratched but they work just fine. If you really want some cheap blocks go to a factory or outlet that works with plex and have them cut you some. He even sanded down the edges for me.

Mine are just thrown up on the shelf by my stamping table. I've had them for over 5 years and they are in pretty good shape - have had no problems with them.

I keep my one block in an old plastic case that a foam stamp set came in. I do this mostly so I am sure it remains clean (not dusty or all fingerprinty).

I have a couple of clear boxes from su since I went unmounted. So if i get a pice of thin foam to layer the bottom I can put mine on that to protect them fromsliding all around and getting scratched up.

Daily use I store them on my stamping desk.

For going to a workshop or a friends house I use a little Lunch box to store them in.

And I have used Zip lock bags tool only in a pinch.

I throw all of mine into a rubbermaid clear box. I don't worry about scratches.

I just store mine in the plastic drawer cabinets I have everything else in.
Just remember not to use anything with alot of alcohol to clean your blocks and do not use Staz-on cleaner on them either, I've heard it will crack them. I've used the Magic Eraser on them and it gets everything off

I have a small fabric type tool case that zips open at the top and then opens larger once you open it up. I found it was perfect for storing my clear stamps and my acrylic blocks because they don't take up much space. It made it easier to transport them too when I'd grab my scrapbook bag. Not sure what I'll do now that I've gotten into SU. I'll need a suitcase for all my new sets! LOL
