I pretty much only use SU, but then I'm a SU Demonstrator, LOL. Their quality can't be beat so I think some just prefer to stick to SU.

If you find the swaps labeled NVR it means no vendor required. You might be able to find one... or you can start one up!

I use mostly SU! but that is because I demo it. But I do have others. I think there is a Michaels $1 swap going, or there was recently...

If you watch the wording in the swaps, you may notice that some of them say, "NVR" which means "No Vendor Requirement" or something like that. There really are swaps like that! You just need to look a little bit.

Since there are tons of Stampin Up demos here, a lot of the swaps are done for the purposes of building a supply of workshop samples; hence the requirement of SU only in so many cases. Like I said, though, there are lots of non-SU products in use around here too! Hang on to your wallet...I'm sure you'll feel a tug on it VERY soon, with all the enabling goin' on around here!

I have more SU! sets than any other, but I have a wide variety from TAC, CTMH, Michael's $1 stamps, 22 Bellas, Purple Onion, etc. I just buy what I like, but then again....I also don't do swaps!

Lots of the people on SCS are SU demos so bear that in mind when you're looking at swaps. I, however, am not! I use lots of SU, but I have TONS of other favorites. Have a look at the SCS challenges....it's another great way to get idea that can be used with any stamps!!

There is lots of different stamp companies used on this site........Inky Antics, CTMH, Penny Black, GinaK, Stampabellas, Hero Arts, thats just a few off the top of my head. I think that moct people but definately not all, like the paper and matching ink from SU. It is very high quality and easy to use. But I think most stampers have a little of everything in their stash! I agree with the others that said that there are swaps that have NVR listed. Look for those!

The majority of what I have is SU, but not my white or confetti stock. I usually get that in big reams at office supply stores. SU just has such a great variety of colors and their cardstock is such good quality. And getting a set of stamps that coordinates is great too.

I have no Stamping Up stuff at all. I joined this site about a month ago... and I have been looking at the challenges. Some of the color challenges, I will be able to do... I just don't have the exact colors with the cute names.
Please don't let lack of SU! stuff keep you from this site! It is glorious. I have already bought a Cuttlebug and a bunch of Bellas!
Also--you will tend to get less hits and comments in the gallery, because a lot of people are looking for SU! stuff. It just makes the ones you do get all the more special.

I have no Stamping Up stuff at all. I joined this site about a month ago. For more of the challlenges they specify a SU! color, but you don't neeeed to use that color, just find one in your stash that looks like it.

I started out with SU because that's what I was introduced too by a friend. Then I was a Demo. Now no longer a Demo. I use whatever stamps catch my fancy. There are too many to name. But I love Hero, HouseMouse, and all art stamps. And also get involved in the challenges because you can subsitute colors. This is a great teaching website so get involved.

I too am a non denominational rubbah lover- can I get a shirt?
My demo keeps trying to get me to join- but I really like variety and products not offered by SU!, so I cannot commit to staying loyal. Love the quality and matching colors, but other companies make great designer papers too.

I like Outlines stamps, Northwoods, Stamps by Judith-just to name a few. They are very different from SU! Yes some SU! sets speak to me and I get them, but they can't meet all my needs.

On this site I have tried new techniques and tried colors I might never have mixed together when doing the challenges. I am going the a shoebox swap in a week and I did use SU! for that, because a lot of the ladies are demos and I can stay with SU! if I need one project. We are going to bring and share our CB's tho. I have done a NVR swap and that was fun too.

Anyway- enjoy the site and whatever stamps you prefer- and as Betsy said-watch your wallet.

I use stamps frommany companies. But te only swap that I have ever participtae in is SU. I would love to join a different swap but I would not be able to make more than 5 cards due to my hands. I think the swaps that I have seen here at SCS call for more than 5 cards.

I thought I would share this with you. I do not always us Stampin' Up! stamps.
Most of the swaps that I have been involved in. States that you may use other vendors. like TAC, CTMH...so on and on.
Since I am a Demo for The Angel Company (TAC) I use my TAC stamps and supplies for those swaps.
But if I join a swap it states that I can only use SU products then I use only my Stampin up products.
There a lot of swaps that let you use whatever products you have.

I am a stamper! and I purchase from many differnt Stamp companies.
But am Loyal to TAC. But I do love the images that SU sells.

I'm not into swaps but as for products I will use anything. Granted there are some cheaper quality images on the market but I don't care if they out live me!
I like Stampin Up cardstock and ink the best but I can make anything work.

FYI---
If they put newinker's avatar into an image, I'll be the first buyer!!!

LOVE this idea, Julie! I always wanted to make a shirt that says "Will stamp for food" -- because I would!

As for the OP, while I'm a Stampin' Up! demo, I use stamps from CTMH, Hero Arts, Autumn Leaves, River City Rubber Works, Stamping Bella, A Muse, and many more. I like to tell people I'm an equal opportunity stamper -- hey, maybe *that* should be on my shirt!

At the moment, there is no way she could hurt it, how does it get that way so fast!
I did stamp with a three year old this summer and I was exhausted in five minutes!

I think it should say "Will work for stamps". Some days I think that IS what I'm working for (to pay all the bills that SCS enables me to spend).

I use all sorts of stamps...I haven't done a swap in awhile because life is so busy. But when I did I'd just look for the NVR swaps. There were quite a few of them.

I only use SU paper and inks and about 98% SU stamps. I do use all kinds of embellishments though!! I just love my SU stamps and since I have over 100+ sets and all the inks and papers I am determined to use them!! Althoug, I must admit everytime I go to Hobby Lobby I get so tempted to buy so much more but I am trying to control those impulses to save money.

I have stamps from many different companies. I wish that there would be more available to me here at craft stores. The majority of what I own is Stampin Up and I do have a few stampscapes. I love the fluffles and the house mouse as well.
