...do you use a stamp-a-ma-jig to line up the tree trunks with the tops of the trees, or do you kind of eyeball it? I don't have a SAMJ so I have to eyeball it and sometimes it takes many tries before it looks somewhat decent. Just curious! Thanks!

Do you have a handful of Lego in the house? If so, you do have a stamp-a-ma-jig  My stamp positioner is just a few Legos made in to a right angle and I use acetate or one of the clear sheets my UM stamp sets come on as a positioning sheet. I don't have the Trendy Trees set but from what I see of other people's cards with it, it really does look like the kind of set that makes a positioner indispensable!
I found a handy tip on this site long ago. With sets like this where placement is critical, I make permanent sheets to put in my stamp positioner using StazOn black and transparencies. I can put four stamps on each piece of transparency (one in each corner), then put the transparencies in the clamshell box so they are stored with the set. Easy peasy!

I saw that on someone's blog once (was it yours?)! Very creative! Unfortunately, all our Legos have to do with Spongebob or Mars Mission. We don't have any of the chunky pieces.

It wasn't my blog - I got the idea from somebody on a thread here but sadly I can't remember who it was to give credit. You could look out for small quantities of Lego at thrift shops or yard sales, you can probably pick some plain bricks up for less than a dollar and you really only need a few (mine is made with seven "standard" size bricks - the ones with six buttons/holes - and I find that big enough to be comfortably usable).
I do the same as Susan for my wood mounted sets but obviously if you are using UM, you need to stamp on a positioning sheet each time as the stamp goes onto the block "fresh" each time you use it.
