Do I need it?
Okay- each month TAC has a "stamp of the month". When I first saw the monkeys they have this month I was thinking "man" those monkeys are adorable- I have to get them.
I'm placing an order tomorrow- and I totally could get them, but I've been spending a lot of money lately, so do I need them?
Tell me what you think-
http://www.theangelcompany.net/sotm.html
Background- I don't have kids to scrapbook for, and don't send kid cards. I'm not above sending cute cards out as thank yous or 'hey theres' though.
They are only $6.95- so it's a great price, but that could buy me a stamp pad, or even a retiring set.
Help me decide!

Those are cute!!
Here are some questions to ask yourself.
Do I just love these images/sentiments? (I think you have already answered this one)
Do I make cards for which these images would come in handy?
Do I have anything else on my shelf that would do just as well?
Do I like coloring in images (these would take a lot--personally I love to)?
Are these different in otherways to what I already own?
These are just some questions that I ask myself when I am wrestling with a decision.

Really! I'm amazed at how many people are telling me not to get anything at all! Usually this site is so enabling! They are just SO cute.

Do you *know* you'd use 'em? If you *know* in your guts that you'd use 'em, get 'em.

Great point!
So really the basketball monkey would be the only one I wouldn't know how to use. (Business Monkey is great for a promotion!)
So I think I'm going to go for it!

oops... sorry- well really, You're welcome! They are really cute.
I decided to get them instead of a background stamp that I had my eye on. Since I have been spending a lot, I made it a trade off.
And now, no stamps until August...

They are awfully cute. What I have started doing before I buy new sets is think of all the different cards that I could make with them. If I can't figure out at least two or three uses for a set (unless it is a set with a dedicated purpose like sympathy or birthday) then I don't get it. Just my .02 cents.

Jessi - I just realized something too about these Stamp of the Month sets...they normally brought them into the next catalog at retail price but in the April newsletter, it says that they will only be available for that one particular month and then NEVER again!
Yikes...that changes how I look at SOTM now!

Exactly- this is my only chance! And since I don't demo much, it's really a personal preference thing. I have plenty of current sets to demo at my once yearly (twice now with the catalog?) shin-dig.

At first I thought I really didn't need them, even though I really love monkeys. I guess the outfits really didn't work for me. I felt they really limited the use, BUT THEN..... I saw one of the samples on the TAC website. The person who did the sample used only the monkey heads. The expressions are great. So now I think I'll be ordering them. I just don't know how I'll explain that to my DH, because I already placed a $130.00 order this month from TAC. And I still have a huge retiring order from SU!
So to the OP I say get them.
Dina
