Default Embossing Powder

I will be purchasing some the next time I order, but am not sure what to buy. I see that the detail stuff costs twice as much. How do I know whether I need it or not?

I'm almost out of clear (which I seem to use the most), and I'm just not sure I want two different clears. Do I need them both or not?

Help me!

I personally prefer the detailed because I can get a much better image with it. In fact, I won't even buy EP unless it is detailed because I just think the detailed is much easier to work with. Just my opinion. If you're using a stamp that has rather fine lines the detailed powder will work much better. The only problem is the price and color selection. (or lack of) But with the effects I get, I think the detailed is worth the price.

I just buy the regular Crystal Clear EP. I buy the detail powders in the metallics for use of a very detailed stamp (like the Yuletide Montage ones) or word stamps. If I'm going to use a clear, I don't see buying the detail.

If you are using a solid stamp (eg. SAB All I Have Seen) regular EP will give you a nice even shiny finish.

Detail powder works beautifully with fine line stamps without blurring.

Detail EP just doesn't produce the same even finish when using solid stamps as regular EP does.

Gotta have both!

I love the detail EP for words - I would get both!
