RiverIris, thanks and that's a great idea to call them. It's a 2 hour drive there so I want to spend lots of time looking, I mean drooling over the goodies.

Ok, I am looking to see which I use....
I use the Classic Small circles - the third smallest to do the letter with border.
And the Classic Scalloped Small Circles - the second smallest to layer it.
And as to scrubbing - normally I am quite vigorous! But I've learned with the acrylic ones and unmounted ones - you have to be more gentle or they just roll right off the block!

I placed an order this morning and used the code, but it did not take off for shipping. I still want them, and am eager to play. Eileen

I had the exact same thing happen to me and I emailed Stamp Castle. She got back to me very quickly, apologized and said there was a glich in the system. As long as your total was $40 or more, just email them, for me they had deducted the shipping when they shipped my package which I'm completely impatient waiting for!! lol

What type of stamp cleaner do you use to clean these stamps?? And, do you clean them when they are still in the "stamper"??? I did get black in on my fingers while trying to put the letters in correctly........it was somewhat messy, but I eventually got it done.

After my first attempt at cleaning -- winding up, as you did, with black fingers -- I tried using a alcohol-free baby wipe. It worked great! Yes, while the letters are still in the stamper.

Yes, my order was more than $100, wow, did I really do that?
I put a note in the comment box that I had tried to use the code, and hopefully, they will deduct the shipping. I can't wait to get them and play.
I have plans to make some sets of notecards for family and friend.

A bit confused as to which set I should start off with? Do I need to start with the $34.95 set and than add onto that with another smaller set at $15? I like the idea of them espcially when I saw the customized ones that said "from the desk of". I know many working people who I can make them for. Not trying to hijack the OP question just hoping someone can help out. Thanks!

I was wondering if anyone knows if the DIY kits are sold at Archivals? I'm going there this weekend, never been there before.
Maybe telephone them ahead and ask - I pretty sure I saw them helping a customer put one together a couple of months ago with the pad etc... at my local Archiver's
I called my A's and was told they only carry the $34.99 set, not the smaller sets. HTH!

I just called my local Archive's, in Indianapolis, and was told that they don't carry it. Maybe I'll go over and look for it anyway--I wouldn't want my May coupon to go to waste!

I just sent you a pm with the details, and wanted to add to this thread - Archiver's on Southport Road in Indy does have the $34.99 kits in stock. I got mine last weekend. And I love it!

Okay ladies. I am a VERY visual person. I am dying to try these, but I need to see someone use them.
Does anyone who has these monograms live in the Birmingham, Alabama area and would be willing to do an "in-person" lesson? I would be so appreciative.

Lisa - I have seen the sets at Archivers in Indianapolis (the one on Southport, not Castleton) - maybe they are sold out or just confused. GL

TV Weekly had a segment last year on the monogrammer. If you go to the website and do a search for "monogram" it will come up. I want to say it was in August.

If you go to the JustRite web site at www.justritestampers.com there are video tutorials and they just started a blog. I read they are going to have guest designers too. Pretty cool. I love these monogramers.....I have them ALL! Did I just admit that outloud. Tee Hee

For those of you who use the wooden handle...
Is there a trick to getting your letters and border inked really well? I would love to use the system this way to get some different colors for my monograms, but the first few tries didn't work as well as I'd like. If you have any tips - please share!

I just got my JustRite set last night, the big set from Archiver's. I have played with it all last night and this morning and love it. I used the Coluzzle circle template and it worked perfectly. I, like many others, am going to purchase another font once I decide which one I like. Go to their website to see all of the accessories: justritestampers.com They even have a "From the Desk of", "From the Kithen of" and "From the Library of" border set which I think is really neat. I'm also still trying to decide what ink to add to the other side of the black cartridge that comes with it-do I want chocolate chip which is pretty neutral or Versamark??
Indy-Patti: do you have the wooden handle or the self-inking stamper? With the self-inking stamper, I just stamped it over and over again to get the letters inked up real well, or you can let it sit for a few minutes so the letters rest against the ink. I read a tip online about stamping on a mousepad for a crisper image and this worked perfectly. I tried using my own SU ink (by taking the self-inking cartridge out) but the letters didn't "take" the ink as well as the black ink that comes with it.

Is it possible to rinse out the ink pads and reuse them or do you need to buy more than one?

I was using the wooden handle and a SU ink pad. When I used the stamper thing - worked just great! I can stick with black ink for awhile anyway! BUt I was excited about the wooden handle so I could use other inks without inking a cartridge.
Hopefully some one will have some great ideas!

I'm not sure I'd want to do that. The ink pads are not that expensive, and they're two-sided.

I just wanted to give an update. I was gone all week taking care of the grandkids while their parents went to Tennessee for a funeral. I arrived home today to find my DIY order from stampcastle had arrived. I did receive an e-mail that the code worked, even though it didn't show online. I've only had a few minutes to play, but I think I'm going to like this new toy. I should be making thank you notes for my new grandson's baby gifts, instead of playing, but I just couldn't wait to try it.

To punch the monograms out I used the Ek Success biggest round punch it is kind of a gold color then the blue marvy scalloped punch and they fit like a dream! I have made several card sets fro friends now and they turned out so cute!

Thanks so much for the new coupon code, I was so disappointed I couldn't get it last month, I'll have to scrooge the grocery budget extra hard this month! Anyone know if the wooden handle is/will be available separately?
