Years ago I had a color chart I could refer to for the color names of card stock. This is from the time when they just put the numbers on the paper packet rather than a name.
Does anyone still have a chart like that or know where I can find one??
I have all the cs from early years than I am ready to organize and I want to be able to label my papers then give name credit for the paper when I post something that uses it!!
I mean, I can no longer remember what color 105124 is!!!
Thank you for any help...
PS; I have more than just one number that needs a name.
Will old catalogs help? This site: Current & Retired Catalogs - Stampin-Style
has catalogs From almost every year, including most holiday and minis...
Just tap on the catalog you want to look at and you can go through the whole thing right on your computer!
Scroll to the pages with the color families and maybe you can match your numbers that way.
I am waiting for one of the catalogs to load now.
It starts on page 198 for papers ECT. I will look.
Thank you for the link.
I will let you know how it comes helps.
Found the color in the 2003-04 catalog. Its mauve mist in case anyone wants to know!!
I got side tracked and while I was away from home the catalog "opened" to the paper pages. There it was!!! Now I wish I could figure out the colors that have the wrappers off... oh well, I have 80 to 90% of them named!!
Thank you DSLlinda... I returned home and looked at the download catalog and found it at the same time you did!! Thank you so much for looking.....it's like going on a treasure hunt to find things then I am amazed at all the information there is to find out there!!!
I know that computer monitors can alter the true color, but maybe if you take pictures of the colors you have left that are unidentified we can help you narrow it down.
Mary, thank you for the suggestion on taking a picture. Right now I am good with the colors but then I kind of quit after running out of shelf space and waiting on more job pockets. My file cabinet looks so much neater with all the papers corralled!!
When I continue with categorizing the papers and have anymore that need identifying I will do just that. I think I was able to identify all of the SU papers. All of my PTI papers still have the color name card still in the pack so I am good to go there...
Thank you ladies!
Can you take a pic of your organization Im curious what it looks like mine are currently in hanging file folders but Im running out of space, and I know the file folders take a lot of space themselves
