Die Cuts

Hi All,

My DH gave me Sizzix machine for my birthday. :) I love the paper dolls, and I was also given most of the paper dolls and their clothing dies. But now I need ideas! Does anyone know of a good website or book with examples of the paper dolls dressed in different fashions?

Also is their a good stamp set available for the faces?

And lastly, I see that Quickcutz has a nice baseball cap that looks like it will fit the dolls. Does anyone know if it does, and if so does the die work with the Sizzix machine.

Thanks in Advance!

Hi, don't you just love Sizzix? There is a site that you can download faces. The name of the program is "Create a Face". I don't know the website to find it though. Maybe someone can come up with it. I have also found a stamp set from CTMH. That size of stamp set works really well with the Sizzix. Have fun cutting.

Try Clear Impressions

I have a stamp set by Clear Impressions that has perfect faces for the Sizzix paper dolls. It's nice because the stamps are clear and make it easy to position them. I have no idea if they still make it, but it's worth a try!

Thanks for the information. I looked for the Clear Impressions Stamps, but they have been discontinued. :(

I have downloaded the software for Clear face, but It seems to use a lot of paper. (or maybe I'm just doing it wrong). ;)

What is the name of the stamp by CTMH that makes faces?

Thanks

Teresa

If you're going to get the Quickutz baseball hat die, you are going to need a convertor, as well as the Sizzix convertor for Sizzlits, for it to work in the Sizzix machine. My convertor is a metal plate about 1/8" thick.

where did you get the 1/8 convertor from? are they readily available?

Thanks

Teresa

These are what you need. http://cgi.ebay.com/NIP-Sizzix-Adapt...QQcmdZViewItem THis price is probably a bit high. My local scrapbook store sold me 2 of them for about $1.50.

Here is a link to a lady's online album. She and a very large group of women have compiled pics of sizzix dolls. They are not all hers, I do not know all the names to give credit to, but the lady who put this album together, Melissa, frequents at www.scrapshare.com (it is currently down, but that is the website I met her at)
the user id is melissa in pa and there is no password, so just hit enter and you should get in.

HTH!
