depending what size they are, I either put them into a regular but larger sized envelope, or I've also put them into a 8 1/2 x 11" folder with pockets. However I'm starting to think I'd do better if I put them into ziploc-type baggies so i could actually see what I've got and not go cutting more scraps...

My paper is filed in a filing cabinet so I put a heavy duty plastic sheet protector in each color and file my scraps into the protector. Then I just pull my sheet protector out and all my scraps for that color are in there. When I'm finished with that color back into the filing cabinet it goes. I grab the scraps first to see if I have any the size I want so I always use my scraps first.

I store all of my card stock in those page protectors that are made to store many pages. I just put all of the same color scraps in with the whole sheets. That way, when I pull out that color and I need a smaller piece than a whole sheet, it's right there and I don't have to paw through anything else. I have the page protectors labeled on the edges with the color name and they are stored in a magazine holder. All nice and tidy so my OCD tendencies don't get out of control.
I have some 13 pocket plastic envelopes that I got from the Target dollar spot. I have one for each SU! color family plus neutrals and the In Colors. My scraps have outgrown them a little though so now I have each pocket stored in one of the photo boxes from Michael's. That way, when I don't have time to organize them into the pockets, I can still get them stored away with the right family. I have written on the outside of each box what family is inside so I can quickly grab and flip through to see if I have the size I need before cutting into a new sheet. I find this works better for me than when I had them in drawers for some reason.
I have such a long term love affair with paper!! However, I felt it was controling me because I would buy and never use, or use and keep every tiny piece of scrap from any paper. This resulted in a continuous mess of my stamp room. I finally gave myself permission to (horrors!) throw away MANY of my scraps and now I only keep sizes at least 3" square or more. I place the scraps in plastic sheet protectors (sorted by general colors - yellows, reds, etc). These are then placed with my full sheet paper. My full sheet paper is kept in those literature shelving things that you get at office supply stores. The scraps are placed on top of the full sheets, so it forces me to look at the scraps before I pull a full sheet of paper!
Cropper Hopper accordion file that's 7 x 12 inches. I have three: nonSU cs, SU cs, pp/misc. I store them vertically on a bakers rack next to my craft desk.

Ditto...except mine are in an open cart thingy, not in a filing cabinet. I put a full-sized sheet of the card stock in the sheet protector as well...it helps it 'hold up.' That way I'll always have at least a full size sheet if I happen to run out and not reorder on time. I especially like having a protected sheet of card stock when trying to match colors with non SU products. I don't worry about a full sheet getting 'messed up' if it doesn't get put back right away. I also store my DP this way...just using 12 x 12 sheet protectors and there's a hanging folder for each 'line'...i.e. Basic Grey Figgy, SU Creepy Crawly, etc.
I have 6 binders, 1 for each color family, including the neutrals and in-colors. Inside each binder I have page protectors which are labeled with the names of each color of cardstock. Inside each page protector are the scraps for that particular color. Before I cut my cardstock, I check to see if I have a scrap that I might use instead. This has kept my scraps down and my paper cutting to a minimum.
I have mine in Sterelite 3-drawer units.
I have 2 units:
1-blues
2-greens
3-oranges/browns
4-reds/pinks
5-purples
6-black/grays
I put anything in here that is cut....it's the first place I look before cutting into more paper.....works dandy for me!!
Yup, same thing here, but have my colors as red/orange/yellow, Blues/purples, Greens, tan/blacks/browns and whites. It's right next to my desk so it's really easy to use.

I use the same system but I store mine in pizza boxes, a LSS sell these and they are the perfect size for off cuts but still might have a 12'' length, they aslo stack well and take up little room. I tried other ways but this is the one that works for me.

Thanks for all the ideas I was just at a scrap/card making party yesterday and we were talking about scraps and a good way to store them. I have a bunch of the cropper hoppers and toss them in the front but they seem to always find there way into the wrong hoppes and it's a mess. Maybe I will try the baggie thing. I too save every little tiny scrap and that makes a huge mess!
Some of mine are just tossed in a plastic box and when I get a bunch I donate them to my daughters school her kindergarten teacher loves getting them for the kids use. Some that I know I will use are kept in plastic drawers.
I have my scraps in a bin. They are separated by color - white and off white, reds, oranges, yellows, greens, blues, purples, browns, black. I've found I go through a lot less paper now that it's right under my stamping table and easy to find the pieces I'm looking for.

Reason: Added picures, but they were way too large. Oh well.
I store my paper by color in hanging file folders...although that is getting crowded. I keep my SU colors together so I don't have to try to figure out whether a scrap is SU or not. I think I might label a page protector or big Ziploc bag with the SU name and keep the scraps in there and keep the uncut sheets somewhere else. But yes, everything is color-coordinated.
I have mine in ziploc bags and organized by colors (blues, greens, etc). I like the ideas everyone has shared about clear plastic drawer units. I think that'd be nicer than what I have.

I store my paper by color in hanging file folders, 2 colors to each folder I love it this way I use way more of my scraps not having to dig through a huge pile for the right color.

I have that accordion file folder thing from CM that I use for my scraps now. It's sorted by colors and if it's patterned paper, I put it in whichever section the main color would be. It's really thick, I think I need to make pages just using scraps!
They used to all go into 1 drawer. I finally cleaned it out 2 weeks ago. Now I only keep scraps I can actually use. Nothing smaller than a 2x3 about. They still go into my drawer but it is much nicer now.
