Did the prices go up in . . . .

the US version of the SU! catty?

Tracy-Stamper 07-02-2009 10:36 AM

I don't know, but some of the stuff seemed really expensive. Maybe it's just me feeling the economic crunch.

STAMPINGODDESS 07-02-2009 10:42 AM

While I haven't check every item carefully, I do not believe that there were price increases.

GreenDragonLady 07-02-2009 10:50 AM

I believe the extra long SU exclusive dies went to $42.95.

Hmmm...I guess it was just the movers and shapers and matchbox dies that I can tell went up. A few of the new SU exclusive ones are $42.95 as well.

cardscrapperk 07-02-2009 01:34 PM

I noticed that bugs and kisses is $1 more in the new catty. I ordered it from the dormant list last month for $25.95 vs. $26.95 now.

peebsmama 07-02-2009 02:01 PM

I noticed that a couple of the older sets increased in price by $1.

belindaking 07-02-2009 02:02 PM

the sets that were on the dormant list for the Spring-Summer catalog were not die-cut before, and now are, so they'll have a slight increase. Other than those, and the dies mentioned above, I haven't noticed any increases.

cardscrapperk 07-02-2009 02:16 PM

The bugs and kisses set I ordered from the dormant list last month was die cut.

akstampmama 07-02-2009 09:27 PM

The matchbox die did not go up either. It was $42.95 when it came out in the mini.

ozarkstamper 07-03-2009 03:50 AM

The Little Leaves die was $4.95 in the last catty and is now $5.50. Although $0.55 isn't much, it is an eleven percent increase. Must have been a popular item.

I asked my demo the samething. I thought alot of the prices had gone up alot. She said they did go up last catty release, but didn't think there were any this time around. SU is almost getting too expensive to order from. :(

Most of the stamp sets had gone up last time because of the die-cutting. To me it is sooooo worth it to not have to cut them out.

Unfortunately with the cost of everything going up, companies sometimes have to follow suit to stay in business.

Try shopping from the Canadian catty and you'll be glad for your lower prices LOL

JackieM 07-03-2009 07:10 AM

I believe that there is only one catalogue now and not a US/Canadian version. The version that I have (I'm a Canadian demo) has 4th of July stamps, and stamps available in English, French and Spanish. Canadians are definitely noticing a price increase...on everything. Stamps, paper, ink, adhesive etc.

Boss 07-03-2009 07:24 AM

I noticed marker pens have gone up to $3.25 each, I believe they were $2.95 before. Cardstock went from $6.95 to $7.50, ribbons for the most part went up $1, small wheel's went from $4.95 to $6.50, big wheels from $7.95 (?) to $8.50. Those are just a few of hikes that caught my eye. The price of new stamp sets made me gasp - die cut they may be, but they are no longer the value they used to be. Just my 2 cents....I will still be buying SU, just not as much because the dollars won't go as far as before. :(

cvnhjw 07-03-2009 08:12 AM

I haven't noticed the price increase but then again, I wasn't too thrilled with the new catalog. I will still order paper and accessories but probably not to many stamp sets.

I only remember because when I bought it I thought that was quite a bit to pay for a die. I have used it a ton though and love it.:)

Ditto, I'll continue to get the paper and some inks, but everything else is well beyond my price tolerance threshold. :(

stampkinz 07-05-2009 05:54 PM

Prices have gone up on everything everywhere!

I'm confused -- weren't these price changes part of the across-the-board increase that happened a year or so ago? I didn't think any of these items changed in price from the last US catalog to this one.
