Default brainstorming please help me

Our card group will be remeeting after the christmas holidays and i started pondering what else to suggest to the gals to help make it easier for them with their cards heaven knows we are all very busy and time is always a factor

already got a few from SCS here like a ribbon share, image swaps, full cards or card front swap. Any others you know??

what else can we possibly do to speed things along and work with things not normally in our own stashes and how/what is needed to do your ideas.Thank you to everyone who comments here

How about having a sketch file on hand? You could look at some of the popular sketch challenges like 2 Sketches 4 You, Card Positioning Systems, Midnight Madness etc as well as the weekly sketch challenge here at SCS and build up a little collection in a binder. Then pick a sketch or two to work from in each meeting so you don't have to think too hard about your layout each time.

I'm drawing a blank for other ideas at the moment but I'll pop back if anything else occurs to me!

HTH!

How about an ATC swap? I've found that the ATC's I've received in several swaps are perfect starting point for a card.
Also, Leslie Miller made a suggestion awhile ago that always stayed in my mind. She said she prepares cards ahead of time except the main focal image. For example she'll take a few sketches and precut the card, add some designer paper the sets them aside where she had them available to use.

How about "use it or loose it" - I have so much stuff that I was not using and this year I made a deal with myself, if I don't use it I have to loose it (i.e., give it away, toss it, or sell it). As I found things that went together I would make a little project packet (paper, brads, ribbon, an idea I printed or cut out of a mag that would work for the itemss). Then when it was time to make a new card I would pull out the packet. I've used up a lot of product. Oh, and I made a deal with myself, no running to Mike's to get something else.

I think grosgrain ribbon might be on the out (though I love the stuff) but it can be colored with markers to make your project. I have a whole large wheel of it (the size of a dinner plate). So I guess it will be used on my projects for a long time!

I'm not sure I understand the question, but this is what we do in my stamp group: Once a month we go to our demos house for a 4 card class and then we try to get together weekly.

In our weekly groups, we try to decide on a card for the next meeting. (we have many samples from classes as well as individual work) One or more people agree to make up the basics, pre-cut cardstock, etc. so that everything is ready when we meet. This way we get a couple of cards done and have time to socialize.

I also have gone to cards for hospice meetings where everyone uses the coordinators stash to make cards. It's really hard for me to feel accomplished when I only make 2 cards in 3 hours. I have a hard time creating on the fly. Now, I prepare my cards to assemble while at the meeting and can do at least a dozen or two. I donate my time and use up some of my stash. Now that feels good.

I hope I've helped.
