Cuttlebug Question

Thank you all for your wonderful suggestions using my new CUTTLE BUG....I've done nothing but embossing since I bought it, what 4 days ago?? What on earth made me wait so long, for something that gives such a beautiful look and I can have so much 'fun' doing !! I've yet to find the Olivia Alphabet set that Amysings loves so much. I do wish CB would come out with more embossing folders for us to enjoy, don't you?

Shirley Rae who is a member of SCS emailed me that she uses them with her Sizzix. You may want to PM her. I would think it would the same as with the big dies that you would put it through a bit, lower the hand, put through another third, lower the hand and then the last third. That's how I did the big dies to get a complete cut. Let us know what she says! as I gave my red Sizzix to a friend.

Hello Shari, yes, you can use the CB embossing folders with the Sizzix machine, but you do need to have the adapter. Most of us have one for when we used the Sizzlets, etc.

Bought my Cuttlebug yesterday at Michaels for 40. (with my joann's 50% coupon) and I LOVE IT!!!....I am so excited and think it was worth every penny! I have a Cricut and use it for fonts/die cut letters but the cartidges are expensive and NEVER able to be purchased with a coupon (although our Pat Catan's carries them for less). The diecuts and embossing folders are relatively inexpensive in comparison to the Cricut and the 40-50% coupons are able to be used!!! Double bonus! So back to that littl' bug of mine!

Is it just as easy to use the embossing folders with the adapter and sizzix or is it alot easier to just use the CB? I really don't want to buy the CB if I can get away with using my sizzix.

Well, I can't answer that one as I have not tried the Cuttlebug machine. I was just thrilled that I could use my Sizzix and not have to purchase any more machines. Also, the embossing folders were the only thing I was interested in. I think that the CB machine is better with the diecuts.

Yes, you can! You just need to use the Sizzix with the magnetic converter (or is it called an adapter?). I love the embossing folders and they work great.
