Cutterpede Scallop Blade

I have mentioned in previous threads that I stink at using decorative scissors and REALLY want to get the great scalloped look for faux ric rac and matting. So, I saw Cutterpede has a scallop rotary attachment. "Rock on", I thought. No such luck!

I think I just dumped $7 (forgive me for not using a coupon!!) on a blade that doesn't cut anything! I was literally standing my head to get this thing to make an impression into the Whisper White CS! All I got was an embossing effect and ONE time I actually got it to CUT the CS, then had to proceed to TEAR the scalloped edge away from the rest of the CS.

I would love a little feedback before I send an undesirable email to EK Success stating my discontent with their product, is there anything I should know about this blade? Am I a weakling who needs to build upper body strength? Perhaps too dense to comprehend HOW to use the blade?

I bought one about a month ago...I, like you, was SO excited when I saw it because I love my Cutterpede. I had the exact same thing happen to me when I used it. I was able to make some cuts, but I also had to tear the pieces away from each other and they were jagged. I didn't even think to contact EK Success...I just thought I was out of the $7.00. If you get anywhere with them, let me know! :)

I have this one and I have used it on an old green mat (the one under the cutter that you can turn around) and it worked okay. but I did have to push down on it a little more than I did when I used the regular blade. hope that helps

I purchased one and was very disappointed! I had to roll the blade back and forth several times and it still did not cut properly. I had to clean up the edges with scissors.
