I wanted to share a new scrapbook store that I just discovered here in the phoenix area. It was a really cute place. It reminded me of the booths you see at the scrapbook shows with neat stuff for cheap. There aren't many scrapbook places here in the phoenix valley to go to anymore, since many have closed.
Yesterday, I went to an antique mall here in Phoenix and found a booth full of discounted Scrapbook and stamp items! The prices were really cheap! I found a bunch of $1 & $2 items! It was like a really cool little Scrapbook store!
Most of the stuff was more artsy vintage. I did find alot of cool 7gypsies albums and stickers and stampers. I bought a bunch of 12 x 12 paper that i haven't seen before that was .25 cents each -it was all prepackaged for 12 sheets for $3! Stickles were 2 bottles for $3. Lots of stickers and ribbons.
It was at the brass armadillo antique mall over on the I17 and Cactus. I grabbed a card that was in the booth. They have a blog. It was at booth#96. Really cute!
You are so right about the closing of scrapbook stores! I live in N Scottsdale and have to travel pretty far for good supplies outside of Michael's, Jo-Ann, on line and Hobby Lobby.
Thanks for sharing this, I will check it out soon! Hugs, Marti
Marti--we need a car pool to I-17 /Cactus (is that still in this time zone?) - LOL!
I'm finding the Michael's at Scotts/Bell is not replenishing their stock--the one by PV Mall isn't much better, and Pavillions is the worst! And I can only justify driving to Mesa about once every 2-3 months with the price of gas.
I love to shop with other Scrapbookers, we never miss a thing. It would be fun to meet up and go shopping at the shop you mentioned. How do we hook up and plan this for someday? Do you work outside the home to be able to go during the day for less traffic and crouds?
Since I have joined the Card Angels, I find it necessary ( I love it!) to make more and more cards. Then I do need more supplies and ideas, makes shopping a must!! Thanks, Marti
Did anyone check out this new Scrapbook Store out yet?
I stopped by that Scrapbook Store again over the weekend it keeps getting better each time I go. It was very busy. I know I'll end up going again.
Here are some of the things I bought:
-Neenah solor white card stock (dont remember the price, but it was cheap and I didnt want to buy a whole reem of paper online)
-Bazzill cardstock pack:$3 for 20 sheets
-Stickles: $1.50 each
-Stazon ink pad:$3
-Ranger Dye Ink Pad:$3
-Seven Gypsies Stickers: $1 each
-Rubber Stamps: $4 each
-Graphic 45 paper: .75 cents (I love this brand!) This is the cheapest i have found anywhere.
-I bought a bunch of other items for a buck.
One of the employees mentioned to me that they might start offering a card class or card exchange club there too. Not sure of the price, but how cool is that?
Just wondering, and sorry to be sketchy with details: there was a store on the way to Cave Creek, maybe that's called Cave Creek Rd., but it was in an area which was being developed with new homes and stores. Is it still there?

That was Mad Scrappers and they've been closed for a few years.
looks like a cute little shop, but I feel like I could open something similar with my old stash lol. I have probably this much stuff. I recognize a lot of those kits that have been around a while. Hmm...wonder how much rent is at those little antique booths.
Sounds like a fun store. I was just in Phoenix a few weeks ago, visiting family. It's probably a good idea that I didn't know about this store when I was there, lol.
I checked out this place and it was fantastic! The prices were great! Lots of Vintage stuff. They even had the new Graphic 45 Oz tags for $4! I bought a bunch of newer 6 x 6 paper pads for $5 (like Webster's Pages and Cosmo Cricket) that I couldn't find anywhere else in the West Valley.
I found a bunch of Crafty Secrets products which were cheaper than what I had been buying it for online.
It's not a huge place, but I ended up spending around $60 because I found so many excellent bargains.
I don't live in the area any more but get to Phoenix once or twice a year will surely be checking this place out! There is a really great shop in Mesa Scrapbooks Etc. that I go to always while there, it is very large and offers all kinds of classes. I realize for you girls this may be a far drive but it is at University and Lindsay on the NE corner.
My friend and I just made it to the store yesterday. Met the owner, Pamela, very nice girl. She was checking the stock in the booth. Pamela said she was very low on product and would be bringing in more soon.
We did find a few items we liked and I'm sure it is a hit and miss kind of store. We will be returning soon. Thanks for the tip.
We have a Brass Armadillo store here in Des Moines, Iowa. Must go and check to see if there is a booth with stamps and stuff. I've been there before but there is so much to look at I get overwhelmed. Fun Store though!
Thanks for posting this info. It was the BEST and most fun shopping my friend & I had. We went to check out this scrapbook store in Phoenix over the weekend and i found a lot of great stuff, mostly vintage paper, paris rubber stamps and some ink pads that were marked down to a few dollars. i wish we had a place like this in Tucson! I can't wait to go back!
