I have tons of ctmh ink pads. I was looking at their online catalog and it looks like they have added a lot of new colors. Does anyone know if they are new colors or if they just changed the names from some of the old colors? I have room for 7 more on my ctmh ink spinner. lol
Also, I was thinking about ordering some paper but not if i don't have the ink colors to match.
My favorite grouping they had was called winter cozy i think. it was blush, honey, twilight, petal, sweet leaf, crystal blue

They recently added some, but gypsy, pacifica, and sunset have been colors for as long as I can remember (and I've been a customer for years now), so you must have some very old ink!
She was probably introduced to CTMH about the same time I was (2003-2004), and many of my favorite colors are long gone - Citrus Leaf, Hydrangea, Blush, Bubblegum, Spring Iris... In partial answer to your question, Hydrangea is a much richer purple than Gypsy - Gypsy is probably closer to Dusty Concord Distress Ink than anything else I can come up with right off. I'm not sure about the other colors - I don't have many of the new ones...
Yeah, I have had them for years and years. I was looking at their catalog and I was so confused with the new color combos. lol I have all the reinkers for those old inks so they still work great. Just wish I could order more cardstock to match too.I think I started with ctmh in the early 2000? I even had a few of the old style ink pads with the hand print on them. lol

Close to my Heart updated their colors last fall, so a few of the colors you mentioned aren't available. Blush and petal are retired. They also changed the color groupings, moving colors around. In the category Whimsy, 5 new colors have been added. Thistle is an orchid purple, glacier is a very light blue, softer than crystal blue. Flaxen is greenish-yellow, canary is a softer yellow than honey. And pixie is a soft bubblegum pink.
Heavens, my intro to stamping was with CTMH and I have ink pads from 2000! And yes, they still work. CTMH had the best cranberry color--they still may for all I know.
I used to be a consultant and in I believe 2012 the ink categories changed from the seasons to something different...Adventure, Whimsy, Enchantment and Basics. Each year a different category retires a few colors and adds new colors.
Also this year the new colors (I believe there are 6 or 7 of them?) are in a brand new ink pad holder. No longer do you have to pull, swivel, push the lid into place, but the 2 pieces are separate and magnetic. The inkpad is wider and longer, and it's a rounded corner rectangle.
If you have the old turntable style CTMH ink pad holder the new ink pads will not fit into it. (I have it and love it and not happy, but oh well, I think I can live with 54 different colors, right?!)
YES, Cranberry is still around! It's in the "Adventure" category of colors now.
Hope this helps. I was my best customer, but had to stop because of being my mother's caregiver. I feel better just being a customer beause now I'm an equal opportunity cardmaker--I use all the brands, not just CTMH. ;-)
