Default Curling Organdy Ribbon

I've seen in the Gallery that the heat tool is used to curl ribbon. How do you do this? It's beautiful, but I'm afraid of burning down the house before I hear from y'all.

Thanks for any input.

Default Here is a link...

Found a description of this on DIY network. BUT, I have a question... Does it actually curl the ribbon around into loops? Or does it curl the edges making it look "antique?"
From what the instructions say -- cut a piece of ribbon 5 " and hold in the middle" -- I would be afraid of buring my fingers!!

I do this A LOT!! LOL It makes the ribbon (organdy) look vintagey!!

I tie the organdy in a knot onto my card. then I heat my heat tool and swipe it over the ribbon to heat it, but not to close cuz it WILL disinigrate your ribbon if its too close (read: HOT)Swipe heat tool back and forth till you see the ribbon tails start to shrinkle and wrinkle. I love the look! I have some in my Gallery, 3rd page with In Full Bloom sets. red ,blue and orange cards .
Have fun but practice some first.
