Default Storage ? for Prismacolor pencils

How does everyone store there prismacolor pencils? I have mine in the tin they came in but I'm not liking this option very much. Has anyone come up with a more user friendly option for these things?

Thanks

I bought 2 wire mesh pencil holders from Wal Mart. They're about the size of a short and squat 32oz. drink cup. I separated the colors into reds/pinks/oranges/yellows/purples, the other holder has blues/greens/neutrals/gold/silver, etc. There's a little extra room to keep my stumps in there also. I hate having them in the tin because it takes too much desk area to access them that way.

Heidi - did you just take out the colors that match the SU colors? Or do all 120 (that's the # in my set) fit in the cups?

Thumbs up

I bought a nice wood sliverware holder (its' flat not an upright caddy) at Target. It has five compartments, four are side by side and one across the bottom. I put each color family into the four and some favorites and supplies in the bottom.

I use the Pampered Chef "Tool Turnabout". It spins!

I covered an empty vegetable can with patterned paper and stand my pencils up in it.

I forgot to mention that I have 2 boys that have decided my craft stuff is a free for all. I don't want them to touch my prismacolors due to the cost of them. This is where my problem lies.

I do use the Pampered Chef Turnabout for a lot of my stuff.

I put in all 120 colors because I can blend them all. There are a lot of greens and most of them coordinate with SU, even if not matching exactly. Plus sometimes, I use non-SU patterned paper. I have a photo that shows my whole desk with the pencil cups also. I'll attach it here.

Looking at my cramped space makes me eager to get back to my craft room in the US. You can see the mesh pencil holders to the right of the mesh box. I got the mesh box from Office Depot. Inside the box I have two acrylic desk pencil organizers, one with my watercolor pencils, divided into color sections, and one with scissors.
