I decorated one like it was a mini paint can and used it as the gift wrap for a small gift (the gift was actually a personalized stamp for my demo, Brenda, whom I adore!)
Wish I had taken a picture of it.

If you're not a CL drinker, Arizona has some powdered instant tea that comes 4 in a tin can that is perfect for altering. I have about 11 covered for storage in my scraproom. They're a light weight metal. I have an old pic from my blog that shows some covered.

Smile "Crystal Light Containers

As a former elementary school teacher, where there was never enough money available to purchase extra supplies. The tubs used in the Crystal Light containers were ideal for dispensing Elmer's Glue for tables, holding water for watercolors, etc. They have a broad base and don't tip easily.

I now use them for card classes as water containers when using watercolor pencils or crayons. They also make holders for embellishments - brads, buttons, eyelets. I store the empty tubs in an original CL container.

I have an example of one I made in my blog here: http://artfullyinking.blogspot.com/2...creations.html. I covered the top in pieces of masking tape and 'aged it' by rubbing it with brown ink. This helped it look less like a plastic container.
