Default Cricut question

I am a childrens' librarian. One of my responsibilities are the bulletin boards. We have recently been given a little extra money to buy cartridges for Cricut. I would like to know which ones you think are best for this type of work. Thanks in advance. Deanna

You could do a Cricut cartridge content search. I know someone will give you the actual title but I can't think of it offhand.

One cartridge I think might fit your need is 'Paper Doll Dress Up'. You can cut a figure male/female and then cut out appropriate costumes. Another is 'Everday Paper Dolls. There are lots of accessory items you can also cut with these cartridges-roads, trees, pets, cars, carriages, castles, etc.

Good luck in your search.

I really love the Martha Stewart cake carts! If you can get your hands on them, they're usually cheap (I got one for $20 and another for $15 at Big Lots) and the seasonal one is especially fab with two fonts and almost every holiday covered. I have seasonal and elegant. Simple cuts since they were created for the Cake, so I love them and it's nice to have something for every holiday on hand.

I would also suggest an animal cartridge like animal kingdom or one of the create a critters. My community works well for making cityscapes and houses as well.

My obsession with Cricut is the different fonts. I've been able to pick up quite a few carts on Ebay for less than $20.00....

I agree to watch ebay,my ou can get great deals if you don't mind waiting and bidding.

Do you have any carts now?

I think you would get a lot of use from Doodle charms and Animal kingdom.

I started doing the large hallway bulletin board at my kids' school (a small, private Christian school) this year, and I've been using the Cricut. I would recommend A Child's Year - it has some beautiful silhouette cuts on it that are simple & striking, including several reading themed ones.

I also agree with the Everyday Paper Dolls, Paper Doll Dress Up, Animal Kingdom, Create a Critter & Create a Critter 2, and My Community (surprisingly, this one has some fairy tale themed cuts).

Some other suggestions would be My World, Winter Frolic, Walk in My Garden, Once Upon a Princess, and Dinosaur Tracks.

In addition to eBay, you might want to check out Etsy - Your place to buy and sell all things handmade, vintage, and supplies. Some sellers have carts at really reasonable prices there.

HTH!
