Make your own envelopes

I know that a while back I found a how to make your own envelope on Splitcoast but I can't seemed to find it now. Does anyone know where I can find a good tutorial on making an envelope?
I sure appreciate any help that I could get.

There is a tutorial here that uses the Crafter's Companion tool.

Or if you have a Scor-Pal, here is a tutorial on their site.

If you have neither, you could do this. Open all the seams of an envelope of the correct size. Lay it on a manila folder or a Cheerios box. Trace and cut out a pattern. Then you can trace around that pattern onto any paper to make your own envelopes.

Thanks for those great options. The problem I am having is that there is not an evnelope the right size to fit my card, and I don't have either tool. All the envelopes that I have found are way too big or too small. Thanks again though I will try the cheerio box option for another card and envelope.

I think that the one on the Scor-Pal site could work for any size AND could work without their tools. She does give a formula that starts with measurements of whatever size card you have.

I make almost all my own using the scor pal one. I don't use the measurements on the odd sized ones, the formula I don't use. I just sorta eyeball it based on having made hundreds of envelopes using that tutorial.
