Default Your favorite ribbon for cards?

silk, twill, grosgrain???? And from what company? I've acquired a great deal of ribbon and none of it seems to be what I'd pick for my cards. What a waste. Your input, please, with your favorite suggestions from a specific source. TIA!

Molly

My favorites are the 5/8" Grosgrain and 3/8" Taffeta from Stampin' Up, as well as satin and specialty ribbon from May Arts. I love their polka dot organdy!

I use mostly satin and grosgrain. But I'll also use sheer ribbons too.

I guess I'm an equal opportunity ribbon user.

I love the SU Grosgrain. I also like some of PTI's grosgrain. But I'm not always into the wider ones. I like the thinner... but it depends on the card. Occassionally I will use organdy (SU) or tafetta (SU). I would say I use mostly PTI & SU.
There is also a company http://ribbonandbowsohmy.com/index.php and they have great stuff.

Oooh, I'm a ribbon fanatic! I have to restrain NOT to put it on every card ;) I tend to love SU Grosgrain & stitched grosgrain - love it, love it, love it!

I mostly use May Arts ribbon and SU! ribbon. I used to buy all kinds of spools from Micheals but I've realized I don't use them!!

PTI's twill is wonderful. I like satin and grossgrain from MayArts which you can find at a lot of online stores.

I use different ribbon but by far my favorite is 1/4 inch grosgrain from SU. I like when things match exactly.

I love Mayarts polka dot sheers...and SUs grosgrain which is fab value for money...and taffeta for the elegant look... I am experimenting with the wider ribbons and am beginning to love those too!

I also have some PTI ribbons but havent gotten around to using them yet...I just 'needed' them as I am a bit of a squirrel with ribbons :-)

I use any type. I really like sheer. For some reason I have a hard time tying gross grain. Some of it is too stiff.

I tend to go for 3/8" grosgrain, from pinkhedgehog or ribbon retreat.

I love the look of the wide satin ribbon on cards, but have never used it. I've always wondered about how you'd mail a card with such a bulky bow.
I use mostly 3/8" grosgrain and sometimes 5/8" satin or 7/8" sheer.

I tend to reach for grosgrain. Recently I bought some from Pink Hedgehog
http://www.pinkhedgehogpapercrafts.com/#Products
Heidi has a chart for matching SU colors, as well as those from other companies I believe. Great service, excellent value! She has lots of other types of ribbon & embellies too.
