What is a "marker club"?

Can someone help me out by either posting the link to an old thread or explaining to me what is meant by a "marker club"? Thanks!

You and 3 others decide you all want the whole set of markers.
You each commit to paying for one set each for 4 months in a row, but what you actually purchase is the WHOLE set each month. You each get a different color family every month and you take turns getting the case.
So you save a little money, spread out your purchase over 4 months but still get the case they come in. You wouldn't be able to get the case without ordering the set as a whole.

If you want, you can also agree to each order another $7.50 in other stuff as well as paying for one color family of markers. This will bump the order up to $150 so it qualifies as a party. Then you can each take turns being the hostess, and whoever is the hostess for that particular month gets the case from the full set, a Level One hostess stamp set and the $15 in free goodies!
