A Sheltering Tree vs Sheltering Tree in the Gallery
Has this been discussed?
In the Stampin up gallery, there is a sub gallery called Sheltering Tree that has been overtaken by all these fabulous submissions for the new set called A Sheltering Tree.
Now it's all confused.

Is there an old set called Sheltering Tree? How confusing! On the positive side, I just got that stamp set, so now I know that I might need to look in two places for some inspiration. Thanks for sharing the info! :-)

By the way, there is another thread that gives great ideas on how to get a clear image of the tree if anyone is having troubles.

There was a set called Sheltering Tree back in 2006. It was short lived.
The new set is called A Sheltering Tree.

The new set is also called "Sheltering Tree".
As seen on their website:
Hope that helps!

I've noticed the galleries for the sets that have the same or similar names...like this one, and Gently Falling, and Christmas Cardinal/Christmas Cardinals/Cardinal Christmas, and Summer by the Sea/Seaside Sketches/Sketches...the list goes on...almost always get totally mixed up together.
I know the gallery mods have their hands full on their shifts, but I wish that the galleries could be cleaned up a bit...I'd volunteer to work on that one if there was a mod position just for checking and correcting to the right galleries!

Oh bummer! I'll add that to my (growing) list of sets with duplicate names for checking the galleries occasionally. I do wish SU wouldn't do it!
It will be less confusing (but still somewhat so!) when the new catalogue comes out, and the new Sheltering Tree is down in the main gallery listings and not in the category for the current mini ;-).

It's currently listed in the S section of the Stampin' Up galleries. I think at this point it would be smarter to change out the index image and leave it be.

It was, in fact, already listed in the Minis and Challenges sub-section , and I've got all the cards moved from the 2006 set gallery into the correct one.
It's a little confusing for people who don't know that while new sets in the main catalogue go straight into the regular A-Z listings, galleries for all sets in the minis and occasions catalogues are created first in that category. Then, when the new mini comes out, all those galleries get moved down into the regular A-Z listings and the sets from the new mini go in there. I imagine the reasoning is that it's easy to see all the sets in the mini in one place.
When there are sets with duplicate names, we do try to make sure that at least one of them has a release date so that it should be clear which one to upload to.
Diane, we do in fact check those galleries from time to time; I think a big job was done on the summer sketches/summer by the sea quite recently so I hope it's not too bad. Gently Falling is on my list for occasional spring cleans, I'll go check that one now. There's an old Petite Petals too , and Forest Friends and Flower Fest and...and... But if there's anything that catches your eye, just drop me a PM and I'll add it to my list.
Word Play - that was another one!! But it's been a long time since anyone's uploaded to the wrong one there .

The gallery for Sheltering Tree has the index for the old one and cards made with both the new and old sets...it really confused me for a minute!

Hi Sue,
As per post #10, the new photopolymer Sheltering Tree gallery is currently in the section of the gallery dedicated to the current SU mini. Hopefully when the new mini comes out, and the previous listings get moved down to the regular alphabetical listings, there will be less confusion, especially since it contains (photopolymer) in the title.
The ST gallery in the alpha listings is the correct gallery for the older set, and correctly has the index card for the older set, but thanks for the heads - up, I've moved the 3 strays to the correct gallery.
You can see the gallery for the new set ( with the relevant index card) here Sheltering Tree (photopolymer) by stampin'nana at Splitcoaststampers
