Who has these and what do you think of them? I am thinking about ordering them and am on the fence....
I just re joined SU and my kit will be here on 9/12... I want to put in an order for some fun stuff now that I have my number. Should these be on my list?
Thanks in advance for any replies and tips on the crayons!!

Reason: Changed title to reflect poll question
I LOVE the chalk pencils that TAC carries. They are made by general pencils I think. I've also seen them at Wally world and Micheals. If you've not tried them They rock so much better control of where the color goes.
I love my watercolor crayons. You get wonderfully intense color whether applying with your aquapainter, blender pens, or just a plain old paintbrush. The complete control you have of the intensity of the color makes for phenomenal shading.
I have them and LOVE them. All 48 colors and if you use a blender pen to color in a stamped image you get a lovely blended (duh! LOL) look that is SO much nicer than anything else I've tried.

I have yet to try the watercolor crayons, but I love my watercolor pencils. I usually color on a scrap piece of paper and then pick up the color from there to use on my image. I find I have better control and it looks better than if I just color straight to the image. I get a darker line on the edges when I color straight to the image.
I don't have the watercolor crayons, but I do have the watercolored pencils. I use them with the blender pens, and I love how it looks. I'll have to save money for the crayons, everyone seems to love them.
I absolutely LOVE my aqua painters. When I first got them I ONLY used them. I have branched back out to my pencils and markers. I also just started chalks, which I really like too. I can't wait for my pastels to come in with my demo kit so I can play with them too. I am such a kid at heart b/c I love to color!
I just *love* my crayons and I'm using them darn near daily! I think they are the most user-friendly coloring option available.
Crayons are $60...for all 48 colors and roughly the same space as a catalog, my customers can have **ALL 48 COLORS**!! The can color directly onto their stamps and spritz with water. They can watercolor better than most art students. They can use their blender pens like a demo. And they are *PRIMO PORTABLE* when they go on their weekend crops! They aren't as bulky as say, oh 48+ ink pads tend to be!
Lots of gals have these on their Christmas lists. They are *WANTING* them, but they want **HUBBY** to get them for them. I'm hoping my December call-in day will be a good one.....! ~ K

The nice thing is, you can do this with plain ole water, you don't need to use up your blender pens on the WCC! Yay!

Im am head over heals in love with my WCC! They are by far the best new thing SU! started carrying this year!!
Now since so many of you posted your love for these babies...lets see some of your samples!! Post a link to something you've made with them recently so we can be even more inspired.
Wow your samples are all gorgeous!! thanks for sharing!!
Kristin - I especially loved the vibrant colors in yours!!!! I noticed you also used the wc paper - does that make a difference or do the colors pop like that on the regular SU paper as well? What is your secret to the brillant colors and shading?? I already wanted the crayons after the OVERWHELMING response on the poll but your sample make that want a "have to have them" feeling!!

Funny you ask that because I tried an experiment when I made this card...I stamped a piece of WC paper and a piece of Whisper White and did the same painting on both...there really was no comparison!! By the time I was done with the WW one it was a mess...it just cant stand up to all the water I used! To me that is the key to the vibrant colors...lots of layers and lots of water. I start out by 'washing' the entire piece with a wet brush and a light pigment. I then used slightly damp brush to place the background color of each object (ie orange for the pumpkin, purple for the grapes etc). Then I applied the WC crayon directly tothe areas I wanted to be darker or shadowed and let them blend and bleed with a wet brush again. Oh and dont ignore you background when applying color!!
Thanks for replying and for the tips Kristin! I am going to add the wc paper to my order when I get the crayons next week. I am so glad you replied because I hadn't even really thought about the paper!!
Okay! Okay! Uncle....I give!!! I'm getting these with my next order. I have seen nothing but rave reviews for these crayons. Have you seen Beate's WWC technique in the resources? This is what made me take a long look at these crayons...so with my next WS order I'm gonna get 'em for myself!
My vote is for the WW crayons too.. even though I don't yet have my own set.. they will be here this next week. I went to a class where we used them and I fell in love with them, and so did everyone else..even the ones not planning on ordering they did.. and guess what they ordered.. Yes Mam.. WW Crayons.. Can't wait to get mine, so I too can play around with them.
One thing I see alot..is using a paint brush to paint with the WW crayons.. I am not sure about this technique..could some one explain to me.. sounds really neat! Thanks!
