Default Your craft show display booth...

Hi,
I am doing my first show in Dec. and am looking for booth ideas for my mixed media wall art and how to display. I looked in the gallery and only saw about five or six pictures when I did a search. Do you have pictures of your booth display I can look at? Thank you!

I *think* I do, but they are probably not in the gallery and most likely on the blog Stacy's Memory Triggers: Shepherds Market Booth or on flicker. ( there is a user group on flicker called show my your booth displays or something like that)

and I know I have a pinterest board called display ideas. ( it used to be much bigger, I have not pinned things with the great abandon this time around as I did the first time I joined it)

this is just a quick search link to craft booth display there. you can click "boards" and see whole boards with that theme too.
http://pinterest.com/search/?q=craft+booth+display

there is also some sticky threads about booths and craft fairs in the techniques board here and people share links and or photos in those threads too.

Cass, have you checked out the long running thread in the Techniques forum for craft fair ideas? Many folks who post there have pics in their gallery of their booth set ups and ideas. Here's a link:

Also, when I was doing craft fairs, I found a lot of good info and pictures about displays in some of the Etsy forums.

Cassandra, I did the craft show circuit for many years and here's my two cents...your backdrop and lighting are the two most important parts of your display. When looking at the pictures of booths try to see what products actually show up in the pictures. So many times the products sort of fade into the background instead of being seen first. Bright colorful art shows up much better against a dark background like a deep gray or black. Inexpensive clip on lighting can draw prospective customers into your booth and make it so much more inviting. Again, just my two cents...good luck with your shows!

Hi, thank you for suggesting that and no I haven't looked there yet. It takes so much time to sift through and see if there are pictures and I just don't have time to do that. I like to be able to just go right to the page for what I am looking for.

Thank you Lee-Anne for the advice. Being a mixed media artist I was thinking of doing a white peg board with a frame and stand as that will hold the art with some S hooks and the art has color to it, so I figured that would make it show up nicely. Plus it's clean and simple. My booth won't have electricity so I am not able to do lights around it. Thank you again ladies!

I have a few pics on my blog of a show my stepdad and I did awhile back. I make soldered pendants and hung those in an old suit case, I used clear easels for my collage art and you can see in the back ground my stepdad displayed his framed art on peg board.

It was definitely a great idea. I've been looking for some old suitcases and haven't found any. There's a lady on Craigslist who sells them here but they're expensive. I'd like to find them in a thrift store. No luck yet.
