Default I hope the new catalog has...

I hope the new catalog has more variety than what I'm seeing in the "sneak peek" in the gallery. I'm not a floral person so that puts a lot of sets out right there. And it seems the others that have artwork just don't do IT for me. They seem like variations of stamps I already own. Although maybe that's a good thing...dh thinks I have too many stamps already! :-)

With the new catalog sets that you are seeing in the gallery, keep in mind that those are usually stamp sets that the demos get for attending an event, like a regional conference or cruise. We haven't gotten to preorder anything from the new catalog yet, but I can promise you that there is a LOT of variety in the few sets that we have the opportunity to preorder!

I'm with troopersma. I can't justify yet another floral stamp. I really want some variety - and a change from the cutesy style. My last few orders have been only for paper and ink - so I hope the catty with have something different.

It is my impression with the sneak peaks demos have had and whats been in the summer mini that SU is really branching out and making different types of stamps. I love it! I think there will be some stuff for everyone.

I have seen the new hostess sets and the majority of them are flowers...sorry! I do NOT need any more flower sets...I don't quite understand why SU thinks we need to have 30 flower sets!

Default SU new sets

I have to agree with the others comments about flowers. Almost 30% of the sets I have are flowers and I only make a few flower cards each year. I don't plan to buy any new flower sets as I haven't even used the ones I did buy. The new ones look so much like ones I already have that they just don't interest me.

Sure wish SU would come out with masculine sets for older guys. I would buy those. Haven't seen anything in the spring or summer mini that I want to buy. Hope the new catalog has something fresh to pick from.

Only two of the hostess sets in the 06-07 catalog are florals. While some of the other sets might have an image or two that is/has a flower, I wouldn't classify them as floral sets. I think there's going to be a great variety in the new catty! I can hardly wait!!!

lol well if you can convince everyone to stop purchasing floral sets then they will probably stop making them. I have to admit I have a zillion too many myself but it seems like I can always justify to myself why it's different or I need it. ;) Personally I think the summer mini brings some much needed variety.

LOL! People like me are probably the reason SU! makes so many Floral sets! I can't get enough of them! Of course, I was a florist in a former life, so that may explain it!
Kidding aside, I love the floral sets because they can be used for just about any occassion. I've even used florals for masculine cards. (After all, men can be avid gardeners!)

My question exactly! OK, not exactly; I'm just interested in the argyle set. There are so few sets in the catalog every year that I like. So where did all those stamps in my cupboard come from?

For now, the preview hostess set samples are in the demo-only gallery. Word from the team is that they'll be moved to the general gallery once we get a little closer to the release of the new catty! Demos can't preorder the new catty preview sets till early next week, so there aren't any samples available for those just yet!

Rachel,

The previews have been released to the general population.

I'm not a demo, but can see sneak previews right here

So where did these samples come from? The ladies making these cards aren't demos? I noticed on one of sets that samples were made all the way back in January! I don't understand how they got here?

Btw, I LOOOOOOVE the argyle set.

I remember some ladies posting when they won the sets at a SU Conference. There was a lot of excitement at the time, but I can't remember how they won them.

Ah, I see they've been moved! Thought I saw something about not doing that till the 15th or so -- guess they decided to do it early! Enjoy, and book those July and August workshops with your demos so you can start earning the new hostess sets! ;)
