how long do shoebox swaps last usually?
ive never been to one so im pretty new at this

It depends on how many participants there are. The swaps I've been to have had between 20 and 30 swappers, and have usually lasted approx. 6 hours (+ or - a half hour or so), and usually includes time for lunches. It also depends on how they are set up. The first one I went to had a 15 limit time for each card, and the last several have been set up so you could move at your own pace.

They are always fun! I can't wait for the next one in Eastern IA/western IL.

We had one with about ten people and it lasted from 11:00 am to abut 3:00 or 4:00 pm. We had lunch too, but just ate when we wanted to.

we have an all day swap with about 15 ladies, there should be enough time to allow everyone to finish all the projects. Our craft store lets us use the craft room if there are 10 or more ladies, and gives us a coupon for 40% off an item. It is such a
rewarding experience

ours are limited to 20 cards, we start at 10 and run til about 6. but we also spend a lot of time putzin' around.. we also do silent auctions , one lady sometimes brings cash n Carry stuff from one of the Amish lady's stores and well, we spend more time gossiping and eating then we do crafting it seems.

don't feel likeyou HAVE to complete it there.. I hardly ever do. you can always bring a camera to take a picture of the sample card so you can refer back to it at home.
