Default Elegant Greetings? Does it make sense...?

This year's catalog has a TON of elegant sets... Barique Motifs, Carte Postale, French Flair, Brocade Basics, plus Secret Garden and Brocade Backgrounds paper.

I have found that the Elegant Greetings set is THE perfect set to go with all of these looks, yet it was retired. I know it's been in the catty a long time, but it seemed like an odd time to get rid of it when so many sets would coordinate with it. And, I don't see that they've replaced it with something similar.

Does anyone else feel that this was a bad time to jettison this set?

I know I keep reaching for it.

From an SU! marketing perspective, yes, I do find it odd, considering how well it would go with so many of the new graphic sets they've introduced this year. But, I figure they must have had good business reasons, for which I would have no clue.

From a consumer perspective, no; for personal use, it makes no difference anyway, so might as well use it forever, even if retired. And, there are other similarly elegant greetings on the market by other manufacturers that I can buy and use, if need be.

You know, I hadn't even thought about it! But it does go with so many of the newer sets that I have. Guess now I'll be getting it out!! Thanks for the suggestion!!
