Coloring UTEE?

I have alot of clear utee and wanted to know if there is a way to make it look like it has color? Like if i stamp something with color and then use utee will that color come thru? Can I "dye" utee using reinkers or some acrylic paint when melting utee in a melting pot? Any tips/ideas on how to use clear utee? Thanks ladies. You always know how to help

I have added a touch of Pearl Ex to utee to color it and that works well and I have use the "To Dye For i" nks that seem to me to be like reinkers and they also work...

My basic thought is to try melting a small amount of UTEE and adding a drop of whatever reaches out and grabs me... It either will work or not -- and you will most likely end up with some real beauties along the way.

I don't know if this is what you mean but I used Petal Point chalks for background and poured clear utee over it! The color comes through very welll and gives it a bumpy texture when heated! The Hope Is Believe card in my gallery is done with UTEE.. It can be found under Stampinlover 04

I love using UTEE but I only have clear. I usually do 2-3 layers of clear to make a project look thick, and then do the last layer or two with regular colored embossing powder from SU. It makes it appear as if the whole thing is done in UTEE gold or silver or whatever color you use when it's really only the last layer.
