Color Combo Help

I've been asked to make some invitations and the primary colors NEED to be Perfect Plum & Daffodil Delight. Also it is a "Christmas in Paris" theme. Yes I know the colors appear more "Easter" but this is what I've been tasked with.

My question is which "Neutral" color and and ideas on how to make this work. I've been racking by brain for awhile now and am totally stumped.

Thanks for any help.

There's a sight that's devoted to scrapbooking and they have a color program that will come up with combinations for you. Maybe trying that will help.

Perfect Plum & Daffodil Delight

Have you thought about using the new Smoky Slate or Black or Neutral White.

Thanks for the website idea it was very helpful. The grey is also a great idea for a neutral. Though I have not seen the new Slate color yet. Also thinking of possibly a neutral like crumb cake.

There's a color combo site that can help:

My Create Ink - SU Color Lab

Just click on daffodil delight and perfect plum and they will appear in the empty boxes above. click "search" and they will appear with various combos.

I like the idea of gray too.

There's also a blog that has fabulous color combo challenges, though I searched and found Daffodil, there were none with perfect plum but maybe some other ideas will help as well -

I like Sahara Sand with the two of them also but my favorite vote would probably be a gray also. Then you could always use a pop of white or black if you needed another color.

I would use several neutrals in the cool family, like postmark suggested. Black, white and grays would add a touch of sophistication to the PP and DD. Do they have to be SU colors? Gina K makes a nice gray - Moonlit Fog. And it's a nice heavy CS. It would look good against both PP and DD. You can scroll down to see it here (I don't know what your monitor will show, but it's a mid-gray in person, kind of a pewter tone):

Heavy Base Weight Colors

Best of luck with this unusual challenge! Love to see what you come up with!

I wouldn't do white. I'd do Very Vanilla, Crumb Cake, Chocolate Chip or Early Espresso. Those are the ones I saw on the My Create Ink site that I liked.
