i made the teachers a target 1$ mail box and iam filling them with nuggets for the kids i made a unfrogetable card with attached crayon so they can color and they will get a chocolate heart (lookes like a sucker 3 for $1 at target) with a tag (stamped of course) attached.
My teachers always get some sort of homemade treat. Usually homemade Almond Roca. I have to make it the day before I give it out or I eat too much of it. Sometimes I give them flower pens and note cards too. My DS has a male teacher this year so I don't know what to do. I was thinking a gift card to the local coffee stand.
I made altered jumbo paper clips and going to attach a gift card to Border's to it. Gallery at Splitcoaststampers
here's what it looks like in my gallery.
Here's what I did...see link. I got $1 little Valentine's baskets at Target and filled them with Hugs and Kisses Hershey kisses. Nothing big...just a little something to say I Love You!!
I am a preschool teacher and my favorite thing I got for Christmas was a little box filled with Dove chocolates. Anything homemade, or something that the child helps you make is an awesome gift for a preschool teacher!! Even a single flower would be super sweet if the child gave it to the teacher!
I got a little windchime from Joann's and made a couple of the jumbo paper clips and put them in one of those plastic "take-out boxes" they look like a chinese food box except this one has hearts all over it.
I'd love to hear about what everyone else is doing.

I did my first glass marbles! I think I've probably done about 60 today. I will give each child in the class 2 magnets & usual valentine candy& the teachers(preschool & elementary) a set of two magnets in the Target $1 buckets filled with homemade caramels. They love getting the caramels & even ask when it gets close to any holiday if I'll be "stopping by" with anything. Of all the "crafty" ideas I've tried, these glass marbles are by far the easiest! I just bought the glass stones round w/flat bottom at the dollar store & stamped valentine stuff on cardstock & then put crystal effects on the stone & added the "circle punched" to that & then put a round magnet on back. Quick, easy & for once, cheap!
You and your child could make a card together. Or just have your preschooler make a picture, then you could use that as a focal point on something that you make. Have your preschooler dictate a message for you to print on the inside. Perhaps a special note telling the teacher what they love about school, or listing the top 5 thing they love about their teacher. A gift from the heart is a great gift, especially on Valentines Day.
