Question In Color

A friend of mine said she saw on Splitcoast a thread where stampers where talking about the new In Colors and comparing them to current colors. Does anyone remember this thread? Can anyone help me out? I'm trying to compare the colors to be able to make better color combos.
Thanks !

Okay...I need my edit button back. I found it EASILY! Proper grammar is great. Anyway, there are two sets of thumbnails in that post. The second is further down on that thread.

must be on the demo only side - cant access it

It would be nice to know how close some of the colors are to others though.

Also, what combinations work well with the new colors

If you are looking for combos, here's a good thread using the new in colors:

I think what she wants is something like this:

Cranberry Crisp - Bravo Burgundy
True Thyme - Always Artichoke
Buckaroo Blue - Brocade Blue
Marigold Morning - Summer Sun or So Saffron
Vintage Violet - Elegant Eggplant
Cool Carribean - Tempting Turquoise

So, would you use these colors , say cranberry and burgundy together to compliment-say monochromatic, or is this just as a listing of similarities...

sorry it doesnt have the in colors on it, ( i just checked ) but it has some of the older colors with the new so you maybe able to compare baroque burgundy with the bravo burgundy close to what you were asking about bravo burgundy with cranberry crisp

Oh sorry. I thought you were looking for the "if I don't have Cranberry Crisp what can I use" list That's what that was....

Are we allowed to attach the In Color color chart here? If so, maybe one of the demos (I am a demo, but I'm at work ) can post it for you....

Well, I re-read the OPs original post, and I was way off base I must NOT have had enough coffee yesterday, because this is the second post I saw that I made that didn't make sense. Forgive me?

I'm fairly certain the chart you're talking about is in the thread that I posted a link to (#6)

I don't know if this info will help you or not...but here is what I posted in the prismacolor thread in "downloads" about the in colors compared to the regular ones:

Cranberry Crisp--close to Bravo Burgundy but lighter, and a little more red. Marigold Morning--Close to More Mustard, but a bit lighter, and pinker.
True Thyme--much like Mellow Moss, but lots darker.
Cool Caribbean--Lighter than Tempting Turquoise
Buckaroo Blue--darker than Bordering Blue.
Vintage Violet--Really doesn't come close to anything!

Hope this is a help

Thank you to everyone who replied. I was looking for something along the lines of cranberry crisp vs. bravo burgundy, etc. I was wanting to compare colors so I could know what paper to coordinate with what colors without having to buy all the new colors. Just trying to stick to some sort of budget! Thanks again!
