Has anyone ordered directly from Crafty Secrets using Shopatron? Is this safe? I know that I can order some of the clear art stamps from eclectic paperie, but I want to order some papers and other things from Crafty Secrets, and there is no store carrying this stuff anywhere near me.
Thanks for any info!

Hi Carla
I've ordered through Shopatron to get Crafty Secrets stuff and it's worked great. I've had no problems and that's how I order. I mainly order from them, since I get the shipping from Surrey BC to Calgary, which helps me with the custom charges. That's why I don't go through Anna's site since she is in the U.S. So you are still uncertain about Shopatron, I wouldn't be. I've ordered twice and will be doing a 3rd order as soon as they get their Xmas set in.

Denise,
Thanks for the info! I need to try to restrain myself! I've ordered way too much stuff here lately. I'll probably faint when I get my bill! LOL!

Shopatron is a company that allows other companies to sell on their websites without having a true "store" set up. So, for example... Crafty Secrets (or EK Success, whoever) has Shopatron host a shopping cart for their website.
Customers shop on the website, through the Shopatron-hosted cart.
Then, retailers who subscribe to Shopatron "bid" for orders coming in that they're able to fill. Bids are assigned based on which bidding retailer is closest to the customer. So, if Retailer A bids on an order, and Retailer B bids on the same order, the order will be filled by the Retailer closest to the customer in miles. If no retailers bid on the order, it is up to the hosting company (Crafty Secrets, EKSuccess, etc.) to fill the order.
You will only avoid customs charges if your order is filled by a retailer in Canada. It might not be. I've filled many orders for Canadian shoppers. I ship to them like I do any of my other customers.
Anna,
Didn't meant to suggest the OP not order from you....I just know when I order through Shopatron on Crafty Secrets, the last 2 orders have come from Surrey B.C., which saves me any custom charges. (I'm in Canada..will do anything to avoid those custom charges!).
Hi Denise!
I didn't take it that way at all! No worries!! I just wanted to make sure people knew that there was a very good chance they would have their orders filled by a US retailer, so it's not a sure way of avoiding the fee. Sounds like you had your orders filled by Crafty Secrets, and not a retailer. It used to just be me and them filling the orders. Now there are other retailers doing it as well. (But I don't know who.)
One thing I have noticed, Shopatron orders have fairly high shipping fees. This is not conrolled by the retailer filling the order. Just so ya know.
