Question cloud, moon & stars template

I recently purchased the cloud, moon & stars template. It doesn't have directions on how to use it and I can't find anything on this site. Can anyone help me please? I've tried using a dauber and ink and using this like a stencil, but wondered what techniques are out there that make a difference using this tool. What would help me sell this?
Thanks!

I was at a party a few months ago where we used this. We used a piece of glossy white paper as our card front and we used the stamping sponges (it was actually just a piece of one sponge - I think she cuts her sponges into six pieces) to sponge clouds onto the glossy paper. We did several layers of clouds and then at the top we made a butterfly using eyelets ribbon, and wire. It's hard to explain in writing, so I'll try to find the card and post it for you. It was a really pretty card and I think several people purchased the template because it had been demonstrated.

Good luck!

I've used this once as well and my mom purchased it at the camp we used it at. We used regular white paper I think, not glossy, and used a sponge to sponge on blue clouds on a pocket card. It was really cute.

You can use any cardstock. I just hold the template with one hand and ink up a piece of sponge int eh other hand. Rub the sponge back and forth across the cardstock and the edge of the template. Then just move the template around the cardstock each time you ink your sponge. I have found that the less you plan where you are going to lay the template the better the clouds look. Here is a page I did with the template. Just play with it. You will be surprised how easy it is.

I just found this thread while searching for tips on how to use the stencil. Does it help to start at the top or bottom of the page?
