Default Nice Cardstock at Jo-Ann's

I just got done making some teacher gifts for my girls' teachers and had picked up some cardstock at Jo-Ann's that was in a packet of 50 (I think it was called "multi-stack"). They had all different color groups (reds, oranges, yellows, neutrals, etc.). I found that the cardstock was pretty good, fairly heavy, and not flimsy. At $7.99 a pack (then 40% off with coupon or on sale) it was a pretty good buy. I used the purple, blue and green stack for the cards and my bold bright ink pads and I think it coordinated pretty well...

Here are some of the cards and bookmarks that I made (I cased the OSW from SassiAngel).

Just a tip!

Really cool cards you've made here. Off to my local Joann's to see if they have any of these.

I LOVE Joanns for paper! Even though we sell the Matchmakers I get mine there as well with a coupon!

This is a terrific OSW project, by the way! I am always on the look out for a unique look and I'm saving this for ideas! Thanks for posting it like this!

PS. Is that a poem on the bookmarks?

Thanks for the compliments on the cards. I did case the design as I said so I can't take credit (the colors are different)! The bookmarks I did myself though. Yes, there is a verse on the bookmarks and a picture of each of my daughters. This is the verse I found somewhere:

A Teachers Serenity Prayer

Grant me the Serenity to appreciate each students special gifts,
Courage to ask them to do their very best,
and Wisdom to challenge them to be all they were born to be.

I thought it very appropriate for my daughter's preschool teachers (she is special needs, down syndrome) as they have taught her so much over the years and have not limited her at all. Because of all that she as learned, she has started kindergarten this week and is being mainstreamed into the typical classroom. Yea!

Ohh they are DCWV untextured cardstock. I love em too! I bought in every color! Many of them closely match SU colors.
