....favorite colors together to maybe paint a home office from the stampin up color families, what would YOU pick? I am going to paint over paneling in my home office, (as it is so dark and dreary), maybe even just white with another color, whichever way, I am going to put the chair rail up to divide the colors. Maybe go 2/3 and 1/3 not half and half. Just want some color combo ideas. thanks
My craft space right now is a pale lavendar, but when I repaint it, I will use Pale Plum and Perfect Plum. Those two colors will match my custom-made drapes perfectly! Oh, and the carpet is plum, too. Can you tell I like the color purple?! :-D
None of this will happen any time soon, I admit, but at least I know what colors I want. The wood around the room's windows is stained natural right now, as is the small ledge along one wall, but I will probably paint those white.
I would go with Soft Sky and Chocolate Chip...unfortunately my scrapping room is part of the whole family room which is getting finished up now, so I have to share colors....out with the soft sky. :(
But I am doing a chocolate and cream suede finish...just haven't decided which walls get what.

decisions...decisions.....Yes, I want something light and airy, and cheerful as it has been dark dreary paneling forever. keep the suggestions coming, along with pics if you have any
I painted my bedroom Close to Cocoa. The duvet cover matched exactly and has Eggplant accents. I also thought that Barely Banana w/ WW would be nice and cheery. And I am not really a "yellow" person. ;)
Let us know what you decide!! Inquiring minds want to know!!

We have no plans to paint (apartment dwellers) but our furniture is chocolate leather and I think it would be nice with a sage green carpet and barely banana (or if a bright room saffron) walls. Rose red accents would be nice touches too (esp. at Christmas time). These colors, incidentally, came from my recollection of the color coach.
In our recently sold house we had a dark green carpet and some walls were "almost" saffron while others were still white. It was a very bright house and the colors worked nicely together (although we had hoped to paint the white either a sage green or match it to the walls that were yellow.) But, my 2 favorite colors are yellow and green so I am biased for those shades.
My bedroom is in monochromatic purple. With pink accents. Since all my hubby does in there is sleep he can't complain. If it were me, I would probably go with a chocolate and lavender with touches of darker purples here and there... But purple is my FAVORITE color... Good luck! Let us know what you choose!
nothing darker than barely banana, although I might add some cream into it to tone down the yellow. White trim. Then I would use ballet blue and red accents (small amounts not paint, just accessories). this would give you a fresh, clean look and it would also look like my kitchen!

Oh, so easy for me to pick...wish I could paint right now. I am in a dark paneled basement with only one tiny window. If I could paint I would use Certain Celery with either So Saffron or Orchid Opulence with a White Chair Rail. I would have nice airy white sheer curtains and a lovely white wood storage. Can you just picture it, so calm and inspiring.
Have a wonderful time choosing.

I don't think I could answer that for you since you may like totally different colors than I do, but when I re-paint my craft room, its going to be certainly celery. I just love that color. I'll probably end up pairing it with white trim and painting my furniture black or really dark brown.
My space is Certainly Celery and Whisper White. Celery on walls, white for shelves/trim. The woodwork in the room is dark brown (not quite Chocolate chip, but not really anything else, either). I love it.

Oh, I love Certainly Celery -- it coordinates with so many colors. I'd lean that way except there's pretty new bedding on the day bed in the room where I work and it's rustic red and blue with some light brown ... I'll probably have to go with a gold/yellow color (sounds like Joan's kitchen! ;) ) .
But -- Tracy -- for some reason Certainly Celery and Orchid Opulence with white sounds like you, to me!! Gosh... I hope I'm not off!!
Wouldn't it be fun if someone came up with a compatibility chart for SU colors and personalities LOL!!?
I vote for the Soft Suede and Pretty in Pink combo. It's been scientifically proven that pink is a 'feel-good' color. Besides, it's my favorite color, and I love brown with it!
