Default Need help/ideas

I use a lot of die cuts labels lately using my big shot. I don't layer them as a rule. Most of the ones I use have a "lip or indention" on them.

I use white card-stock 99% of the time for these labels, because I stamp and color them with an image.

I normally use a copic marker to outline the indention on tag like this card.

Or a couple of times I have use distressed ink to distress the whole tag, like this card.

I am not sure if I am really happy with either method. Any suggestions or other ideas would be greatly appreciated!
