Default 45th anniversary card

My husband and I got married in 1968 as did two of his siblings. Since we will all be celebrating our 45th anniversaries in 2013 I would like to make each of the siblings a very nice, elegant card. Anyone have any ideas to help me out. I really want these cards to be special! Thanks!

Well the 45th is sapphire, you know like 1st is paper, so I am thinking a jewel tone blue to start with maybe silver accents? I don't know you or these people, but I would think you would want to include something personal that you know about them, something that reminds you of them. For instance, my husband likes fishing, so I incorporate that into his cards either subtly or not. 45 years maybe a collage of them on their wedding day and one of them now, or even include a family picture of them. So on the front in a beautiful framed front I would put their wedding picture in it. Then when you open the card one of them now. On the front a sentiment something like you started out in love and created a life together......open the card and then - learned how to live together through thick and thin and loved each other through it all. I don't know maybe too mushy? Anyway, hope I stirred up something creative for you.

Thanks Nanette, you gave me some good ideas. I like the idea of using a wedding picture somewhere on the card.
