Default Paper Fabric?

Good Morning,

My son is getting married and we're making favor boxes, using the 'milk carton' die. There's a tuxedo on one side which we're making from the scallop pennant punch with rhinestones down the front. The boxes are made from black card stock and we'd like to use a white paper fabric for the tuxedo front. I haven't been able to find a white paper fabric, does it even exist?
We also need ideas for the bow-tie, which is quite small!
Many thanks!

Some card stock is made with a "textured" finish. Maybe that would give the look of fabric.

Some paper/cardstock is made with a "linen" finish which provides a subtle linen-like texture.

Memory box has a bow tie and regular tie die. I think it's called Family Ties.

"Love my tapes" have sheets of fabric with adhesive backing. Not sure exactly what they have but worth a try.

Why not create your own, that way you are not limited to colors and patterns offered. Iron fabric to freezer paper or layers of plastic grocery bags. If you do the latter be sure to cover with parchment paper or somethings to keep the plastic from getting on your iron and ironing board though. You can also used full sheet sticky paper or a Xyzon to adhere paper and fabric together.

If you don't want to go that route, then sand white cardstock from side to side and then up and down to create a fabric like texture. It also softens the cardstock which helps with the fabric like feel.

I have taken fabric, and put several coats of starch and iron in with a hot iron. I was able to get it stiff enough to cut out small shapes for embellishments.
