SUGGESTIONS FOR CLEANING

Any suggestions for cleaning glue and other residue from a self-healing craft mat? I have tried soap and water but the mat is sticky. Thanks:confused:

I swear by Goo Gone for many sticky messes like glue residue from price tags on plastic items, etc. It is available in Canada at Canadian Tire but here's a US site.

I have used Glue Gone as well, and also UNDU (adhesive remover liquid) as I use that for my scissors etc. Both have worked for me. Now, I find I use my nonstick craft mats by Ranger for nearly everything (except for cutting when I use my self healing mat). I loooove those mats and everything just wipes off them....

I use Goo Gone too and then I follow it up with a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser to get it squeaky clean.

Another Goo Gone fan. Sometimes you need some elbow grease with it, but it really does remove adhesives.

I use ethanol alcohol-its inexpensive and doesn't leave a residue.

I use my odorless mineral spirits (OMS) for cleaning anything gooey. It's great for clenaing scissors, tweezers, craft mat, etc. I buy large cans for Gamsol magic so I always have it on hand anyway. After cleaning with OMS I follow up with 409 just to make sure there isn't any residue left over.
